We had the short ribs, fried chicken, and shrimp. It was all delicious. The rice was really good and so was the mac salad - the salad was a little too heavy for my taste, but I know that is the Hawaiian way. The local construction workers at the table next to us struck up a conversation and gave us... More

Local style food with local style service with a smile. We enjoyed the simple yet tasty burger and fries. My favorite is the garlic chicken. My nephew always gets the pulehu ribs. We never leave without taking home the famous peanut butter rolls! So Ono!

Family trip last week to Oahu with the family was magical. We went with the kids to papa ole's while visiting the PCC and BYU. My kids have yet to discover that food is much better when it doesn't come from a fast food chain. They were going to opt for Taco Bell while mom and I ate here. We... More

On every trip we take around Oahu this is where we stop for lunch. The staff is awesome and the food is delicious. You need to try the Big J's special which has Hawaiian Style pulehu ribs prepared with Hawaiian sea salt and grilled and a generous portion of shrimp with rice too. Another must try is their hot buns... More

Very casual with indoor and outdoor seating. Appears to be a locals favorite place to eat. We ordered take out, very generous portions!

My FAVORITE find during our trip to Oahu. During our trip everyone raved about all the shrimp trucks and poke stands but in my opinion Papa Ole's blew them all away. Went there 4 out of the 6 days we were in Oahu so that tells you something. The staff was super friendly and the food was amazing. I kept... More

be sure you are the right customer for this place, it's in a shopping center with a parking lot view, the food is good but salty and fatty with lots of heavy carbs, macaroni, rice etc. You get a huge plate of well cooked food, lots of meat (fatty) but calorie dense. I should have stopped at one of the... More

We got the special of the day which is usually a good choice if you don't eat Hawaiian food all the time. And it was amazing. We went several times because it was just that good. Not a huge amount of seating but it was perfect. We took ours Togo and they gave us forks and knives along with it.... More

Great food. Unbelievable prices! It is located in a local area that is a small restaurant, but it was my favorite place on Oahu. We went there twice .
