Love at first bite!

I was so glad to go back here. When I lived here this was my spot. Still great food! Great service, ate here many times during our visit.

One of the best meals (breakfast) we had during our 20 days on the 4 islands. If you just want good old Hawaiian home cooking, straight up spam, eggs, and rice, this place will do you right. My wife had the pancakes, and I would've ate those too if I wasn't so full.

A friend who grew up in Laie/Kahuku recommended Papa Ole's, and boy are we glad he did! Inexpensive, simple, GREAT food. That is a great combination. I'm sure you could spend a lot more someplace else for a lot worse food. The wait was a little long, but it was later in the evening and almost everywhere else was closed,... More

The Loco Moco was good enough and big enough to feed two easily. I recommend getting the mini. If not, it tasted good reheated the next morning. It is two hamburger patties on rice topped with gravy and egg (I recommend over easy). Good stuff!

The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food is delicious! We had the Sauteed Shrimp and Teri Chicken; the macaroni is my favorite. I enjoyed the indoor/ outdoor seating options. This place was busy with customers and had a pleasant atmosphere.

We have eaten here three times and have gotten whatever fish is on the "specials" for the day each time. My husband also tried Loco Moco here for the first time. Really enjoyed it. Lots of food and friendly people.

We were recommended Papa Ole's by our landlady the minute we arrived from LA. We arrived 30 minutes before their closing time. The staff was super friendly. We tried their combo dinner and I can only say one thing : DELICIOUS! Go you won't regret it.

Their garlic shrimp were more subtle than some of the other Shrimp Truck/Casual eats places in Kahuku. Their rice was awesome and had coconut milk in it - score! My hubby got the loco moco and he said it was good but just a really heavy meal -we got mini sizes and they were AMPLE for 1 person. My son... More

Yes, we waited about 25min, but it was worth it. Obviously, a locals hangout. Nothing fancy, just delicious comfort food. A must if you are on the North side of Oahu.

While driving back to Honolulu from N. Shore we spotted this unassuming little place in a shopping strip. It didn't look appealing from the outside but, when looking up the reviews we decided to stop in. GREAT CHOICE! We ordered the ribs and garlic chicken and they were so delicious, especially the garlic chicken!! Authentic food which you would never... More
