A Must Stop!

Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning and they were so busy! Phone ringing off the hook with to go orders & some inside/outside eating, but it was well worth the wait. We had garlic shrimp before at roadside trucks but this was much better. The Terri chicken was also great. The BBQ ribs were the best thing we ate all trip. In my view, Papa Ole's place is cleaner, better food and great friendly service then the food trucks we tried. Such a fun place.

This was the first place we ate once we arrived in Oahu. The garlic chicken was fantastic and the Ribs and Garlic shrimp were too! Great portions, very friendly service. My husband and I ate there several times during our one week stay. breakfast was awesome too. Of all the amazing things we experienced while visiting Oahu, Papa Oles is... More

My husband and I were making our way to the North Shore on a Sunday and stopped by Papa Ole's after seeing the ratings on another site. What a find! This is clearly a locals place (and tons of bikers too) and the line was nearly out the door. To us, that's a sign that it's worth the wait! And... More

The first time we ate at Papa Ole's was for a friend who needed a burger, fries and soft drink. His burger was huge, the fries were huge and he had a large drink for UNDER $10. The next time we stopped by, the restaurant was closed due to a new roof on the structure. Not to be deterred we... More

We don't normally eat at the same place twice when traveling, but the food here is so good - we SCHEDULED time to come back. Go early in the afternoon if you plan on ribs - they may run out. Very popular and all for good reason. Food-coma portions at reasonable prices. An unsuspecting little spot in a strip mall... More

It may not look like much but it's fantastic. We did their big rib and shrimp combo for $18 and it was enough for both of us! We ate at many shrimp trucks and this was by far the best! We talked about it for the rest of our trip! We ate at probably 20 different places in Oahu and... More

My friends had the burger which they raved about! I had the Kalbi Ribs cooked medium and they were so fresh and yummy! The macaroni salad was also good. However, the banana pie is a must!!! Nice place to sit inside or out. Friendly service as well.

This is a little, laid back restaurant with North Shore ambience. We ate breakfast here & it was oh so tasty! I had the Supreme Pancakes -- banana, chocolate chip and macadamia nut, cooked right in the pancake. My husband had the Ham and Cheese Omelette with hash browns and toast, as well as the Hawaiian Sweet Bread French Toast.... More
