We stumbled across this place by accident and will definitely drive back out here to bring friends and family! The decor and layout of the restaurant itself is a little quirky but it fits in with the community of Haleiwa. Food is fresh and menu was well thought out. Waitstaff is very knowledgeable and first class!

We are huge sushi people and loved this place. Very unique flavors and well made sushi. Can't beat fresh fresh fish! On the spendier side but worth every delicious bite. Service was also outstanding!

We went here on our last night on the North Shore. The food was excellent! Very creative rolls, great prep, great taste. Our service was pretty spotty...took a long time to be seated even though a table was sitting empty, our waitress took our order but several items were missed and we kept having to remind the servers of what... They sat five of us at a high bar table meant for three and the Service was slow. The food was served in stages as it was made, so everyone got their food independent of the other. Three of us were finished eating before the other two even got their order. Giving three stars as the food was good, but... More

Banzai has a nice variety of sushi, sashimi, and rolls. For Haleiwa, the prices were quite reasonable and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Service was good and the waitstaff are efficient but not overbearing. They even have a few different types of poke including ahi tuna and octopus. Definitely a place I would go to again.

This was nice — I got the Banzai nigiri sushi and mom got the salmon. The only downside was I don't like mayo in the crab in a California roll. Otherwise the sushi was fresh and tender. The miso soup was excellent, and they had a nice variety of desserts to choose from. I opted for the green tea ice... More

Nice if you need to relax and take your time. They had fun floor seating, but it was a little less fun after sitting for so long waiting for our food (tempura and sushi rolls). We got the dessert with tempura banana and coconut milk ice cream. LOVED it!

Cons: didn't take reservations and was crowded! Pros: Courteous staff that was more than helpful in recommending food and drinks! We had 3 rolls, Hawaii roll ($14), Banzai roll ($11), and Gnarly Marley roll ($14). They were all fabulous and worth every penny! This place also had live music the night we were there, local duo and they were awesome!... More

We ate at Banzai a couple of times during our recent North Shore vacation. It's a little pricey, but we discovered their happy hour specials. Many of their sushi rolls are half-price during happy hour, and it made the meal much more affordable. Service and the quality of the food was great.
