I took my daughter there this past weekend. We got there just in time. They close their doors at 6:00 PM. It is the best shaved ice on the island and it won't cost you an arm and a leg.
Outstanding favors that are so fresh and delightful. The combinations make it very hard to decide which one to have but do not think you could go wrong with any of the favors. You must try it with the beans and the ice cream. Service is friendly and the store is a must see. My husband and I just sat...

Had to try this spot. I've heard about Matsumotos' for years but never got to this part of the island to try them out. This year was the year. Was it worth the wait? Not so much.
Years back, and even now, if you find the right place, shaved ice was and can be shaved so so fine that it's...

I ordered a pineapple and mango shaved ice with vanilla ice cream. It was the BEST! We hit it at a perfect time and didn't wait long at all. Most of the time the lines are out the door.
Long lines, assembly line operation; for a so-so product. The shave ice at Volcom was better, friendlier and no lines.
My wife and I tried this very famous place for shave ice after hearing that you cannot go to Oahu and not go to Matsumoto's. So with eager anticipation, we went. We had the rainbow and Matsumoto flavours. To be frank, we did not like the taste. We found it to be very artificial and one of the flavours tasted...

great, but LONG lines...expect to wait in line .... I didnt like that especially when you are just trying to get ice cream or shaved ice. Good, but not worth the wait. Go when they open at 10am and there will be NO line.
The line moved quickly even though it was long. They charge $.30 for a little cup holder so your ice doesn't melt everywhere. It's worth adding, even though I hate little up-charges like that. It was delicious. Definitely add ice cream. Here's the kicker...I tried Aoki's later that day also (don't judge my calorie in-take) since it was open and...
