We stopped in here because we we're going to eat at mcdonalds, which is across the street but saw this place and wanted to eat local. We were not disappointed! This is a tiny little whole in the wall restaurant and it has amazing food! You can order a meal or al a carte. Reasonably priced, very nice staff, parking... More

Dinner is fabulous. Inside seating or enjoy the fresh air outside in the back. BYOB with an eclectic liquor store next door. Everything is delicious - order anything and you won't be disappointed. We always get the kale salad. Fish is my favorite but the men usually order the meats. Nice to see a business using local ingredients and staying... More

We had a wonderful meal here. It was recommended highly by a couple who lives in the area and they were spot on. Food was imaginative and very tasty, and the waitress went our her way to cater to our 11 and 8 year old daughters. We were charmed and will be back for sure!

The ambiente of the cafe is not very romantic. However, the food as well as the staff were outstanding. We arrived after a longer ride from Honolulu and were very hungry. The menu totally satisfied our need to eat rich and healthy food. Our expectations were fully met. We can really recommend the Haleiwa Cafe and will surely return to... More

One word to describe our breakfast. we took the "mahi mahi & eggs" . The fish was good but the all plate was so "dry". Only way to maje it eatable was to add ketchup... not what was expected. The "bagel with the cream chese was good but small portion for usd 7.25 We will quickly move to somewhere .... More

I have been visiting Haleiwa for 8 straight years now and this little cafe ROCKS!! No wonder is the locals favorite place for breakfast and lunch. The prices are below the average and the proportion are above average as well. A hole in the wall with great food. I was tired of paying $60 for breakfast for 3 and one... More

We were driving from the North Shore Turtle Bay Resort and by accident drove through Haleiwa and stopped. The line out the door was our first indication that this might be worth the wait. It is small, almost a mom and pop style place in a small town. When our name was finally called we sat down and I saw... More

We picked this restaurant based on location and UrbanSpoon reviews. It was beyond our expectations. A small, hole-in-the-wall, restaurant, we were greeted promptly and our table was ready. It is a BYOB restaurant, but a bar next door was available. The menu was not what we expected. Our pre-teen girls were not sure what they were going to get. Once... More

We rented a vehicle hoping to see some "big waves along the North Shores." Unfortunately, there weren’t any huge waves to be seen during our outing here. While driving through this cute little town, my wife noticed this little cafe and wanted to stop in for breakfast. I originally didn't care to but relented in the end! Ya, I'm a... More

We felt a little silly driving all the way to the north shore from Honolulu just to have a second breakfast at Cafe Haleiwa. Well, that wasn't the only reason for the drive but it could have been. We tried nearly everything on the menu and can wholeheartedly endorse the breakfast burrito (get Portuguese sausage inside) and the Hawaiian sweetbread... More
