My husband and I ate at this restaurant on the last night of our stay on the North Shore. We live near the Mexican border, so we think we know what good Mexican food should taste like. We were not impressed with the food, with one exception, the Guacamole was good. The ambience was very authentic feeling. The staff were... More

Accidentally stopped at the parking plaza where Cholos was at and decided to try the Hawaiin "Mexican Food". Restaurant staff were very nice and altho the food was a tad over spiced it was still very good food.

My husband and I stopped into Cholo's during a recent visit to the North Shore, after stopping into a strip mall to re-organize the car before heading to the airport. We decided to stop into Cholo's to have a last big meal before our red eye flight and were not disappointed! Our server brought us a basket of chips and... More

Stopped here on the way to the Dole Plantation. Had lunch and the food was so good we came back for dinner on our way back from the Dole Plantation. The drinks were on point and not watered down and the salsa was really fresh and tasty. Everyone in my group of 17 had nothing but good things to say... More

Tamales to die for! Margaritas that will lift your spirits and knock your socks off!! This was an exceptional dining experience with food authentic to South Texas/Northern Mexican coastal cuisine and I will definitely drive the hour needed to get me there when I want a true Mexican meal. Everyone has an opinion about Mexican, but if your into tradition... More

Cholo's delivered a taste of home for us after a week of seafood and tropical flavors. Taco plate and a burrito plate were plentiful, well-seasoned, and served with a smile. Good spicy salsa and crisp chips, too. Sit outside for faster service and people watching.

Absolutely loved this place! Amazing food. Had the enchiladas and really enjoyed it! Free nachos with salsa also went down well! The margaritas are soooo good! Potent and very delicious. Also bought a mirror too which is great. Service was quick and friendly

Every time we ate here, I would swear to my husband that we would never go back. It took a few times to convince my husband that yes, their food is really bad. Then their prices for the quality is a kick in the stomach. Ridiculous. It's deceiving because from the outside, this place looks pretty cute, but don't have... More

I would highlight the word decent. Being from California, the food here isn't comparable, but were not in California. That being said, I would recommend the burritos; more band for your buck. We went with a bunch of friends and had to wait a while to get a table to fit 7 people. They are normally busy around meal times,... More
