Give 'em an Ono!

We ate here several times during our visit to Oahu. Delicious, plump and juicy shrimp prepared in a variety of ways brought us back for more. Plates include rice and salad. A good value at about $13 / plate (cash only). We didn't get to try the coconut shrimp; they were sold out for days. If you... read more

Highly recommended. After a day of visiting the North Shore, we searched for this shrimp truck at the behest of an employee working at our vacation resort. We were not disappointed! The spicy shrimp plate was delicious! I wish I had enough room in my stomach to eat two of these shrimp plates. The best $13 ever spent on a... More

So many shrimp food trucks to choose from. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try the other shrimp trucks to be able to compare the food, but my shrimp from Macky's did not disappoint. The staff could have been a bit friendlier as they denied my request for extra sauce on top of my rice :(

Really good taste but overcooked shrimp. My wife had the garlic; I had the lemon pepper. Both were, unfortunately, pre-prepared and boxed when we walked up to the window to order. Great taste but cooked too much. I'll give them another shot when there but won't accept pre-cooked/boxed. Use the $2 off coupon from the Oahu brochure.

We ate at Macky's on our way from the Dole Plantation to the beaches of the North Shore. The food was good. It is parked next to a 7-11 store. Macky's has plenty of shaded tables. The garlic shrimp was very good!

What a business! Can't miss Macky's as it's one of the first trucks you will come across as you drive through the little town of Hale'iwa. They've got this down to a science. Lots of shaded picnic tables outside, cheap beverages, and about $12 average for a shrimp plate with about 10 shrimp, white rice, and a little salad. Kind... More

To each is own and there are many to choose from. Giovanni's spicy shrimp was like eating shrimp drenched in tobasco sauce. Yuck. But Machy's is the best. Their garlic shrimp is delicious and their coconut shrimp is my favorite. Tasted like freshly grated coconut on the coconut shrimp.

We really enjoyed Macky's on our first day ever in Hawaii. The garlic shrimp was the bomb!. The first and only meal we enjoyed on our entire 10 day vacation to all four island of Hawaii visited. Seriously.. Macky's is a must, if one is visiting oahu.
