Exceptional Shrimp

You have to try the shrimp in garlic butter. It is to die for. You're able to tell the popularity of this place by the crowds of people that visit this place. All tables were practically full. Come and experience the wonderful food, you won't be sorry.

I've made it to the north shore twice this year, and twice stopped at Mackys shrimp truck. You'll eat on a paper plate at a picnic table, but it's a shrimp truck and cant get any better.

If you are looking for fresh shrimp, this is the place. Can not go wrong with any of the shrimp plates from the plain to spicy. But have to agree with other reviewers in that the coconut shrimp seems to be nonexistent. Family lives on the island and they have never been able to get it. Fingers get messy as... More

I always get the garlic shrimp plate or the lemon pepper shrimp or the original shrimp. But I haven't been able to try the coconut shrimp. They have it on the menu but I doubt if they really serve it. They always say "It's sold out" But I have was there when it opened! And I have never seen anyone... More

Heard about this shrimp truck and tried both the spicy (which wasn't that spicy but to each his own) and the coconut shrimp which was tasty. We enjoyed both but preferred to have the shrimp peeled. Service was quick and we did not suffer under the flies which I have read about in other reviews.

Live on JBPHH but had family in town so took them up to Haleiwa. Stopped here for a late lunch and had the amazing garlic shrimp. Parking and seating can be hard to come by even at 1400 but so worth the hassle. My second trip and I'll be back again.

Great shrimp, great flavour, the rice was also excellent. The line wasn't too long when we arrived, and after we had ordered, a tour bus pulled up, but it seems they had pre-ordered (thank goodness), and all their food was already ready to go. I'd definitely visit this place again.

This was tied for number one out of the trucks wwe visited, definitely best for flavor and fun. A word of caution, all the tourist buses stop here and the line can get long, but fun to see sixty people pile out and munch shrimp. Best flavor we found, better bugger shrimp at other stops. Staff here was definitely not... More

On my first visit to the island, I was thinking, what's the deal with all these shrimp trucks? But then I saw more and more people surrounding these trucks, so I figured it must be good food then. I've never eaten from trucks or from the road before, but what a surprise? On my way back to the airport, we... More
