Good BBQ Avoid the Gravy

The brisket was very good and not too fatty. Loved trying all the sauces. The country fried steak would have been better if not for the awful gravy. Really the gravy was bad. Did enjoy the cornbread casserole which is really just cornbread with corn and cheese, but extra yummy. They make a... read more

We stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner on a Saturday afternoon when it wasn't busy. We sat at a table inside the restaurant, and the floors and chairs were filthy, like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. On a more positive note, the pork and pastrami was good, as was the fried okra appetizer. Our waitress was... More

If you are on the island for any length of time and feel nostalgic for southern comfort food, look no further--Dixie Grill is the place for you. With its oversized mugs of sweet tea, BBQ, po' boys, and comfort food, this place is straight out of the south. There is a decent amount of inside and outside seating, and the... More

Food and service was great! Had the crab legs and shrimp. Most food is deep fried but that's okay! We would highly recommend this place if you are missing some southern cooking and this comes from customers from the north.

We went here a couple of times while we were here. The food is okay. It is something different than the local Hawaiian food. The staff is friendly.

Louisiana style restaurant. I enjoyed ordering the crab legs and collard greens. Located on the foot of the mountain not far from Honolulu.

I could not believe my son brought me to a BBQ place in Hawaii. I had the Brisket and the pulled pork and I was in heaven. The corn bread was something different and very good. The crab was too expensive for me, but most people were eating BBQ sandwiches that were stuffed with meat. The beer was cheap and... More

We are leaving Hawaii in a few hours and stopped in at the Dixie Grill for dinner. We got the calamari for an appetizer. The aioli for the calamari tasted creamy and was a bit different than I have had before. It was very tasty. The actual calamari was not my favorite blend. I generally enjoy the small, whole squid...
