good food

Had dinner here. This is one of the more higher priced places to eat on Molokai, but the food is not the local fast food/plate lunch type either (which I actually prefer.) You can have a hearty American style meat and potatoes type meal here. Can't remember all they offered, just know it was... read more

The food here is really good. Big portions with a great selection of food. I can only imagine how good the food would be if the cook was in to their jobs. This mornings (4/22) cook was constantly swearing and muttering, slamming food on the grill in anger.. Hopefully they have a better attitude in the future.

This place is located a bit upcountry but is worth the drive. It is very local in style and small in seating. We arrived at 5pm and were the only ones there. They have a large selection of daily specials and all looked wonderful. I had the Ono fish and my husband had ribs. Both were wonderful and gourmet quality.... More

This was one of the only places we would eat at while visiting Molokai for week. The burgers/grilled cheese and salads were good enough to eat and the place was clean/bug free. The wait staff was nice. This is much better option then the Drive Inn or Paddlers.

We had heard from many that this restaurant was great, so were very disappointed with what we were served. I had the Teriyaki beef, which although flavorful was tough. It was served on a bed of cabbage along with the gluiest rice I've ever tried. There was also a scoop of macaroni salad which was inedible. Another member of our... More

Where to begin, so many meals at this place, so many smiles and music jams... Reduce your velocity, open your heart, share your table and get a taste of aloha at the Cookhouse. The food is pretty darned good, the people are even better. The cheeseburger is a great value, the chopped steak and country fried chicken are legendary. Great... More

Waitress Nelma; we tried to order cheeseburgers, she said they're out. Tried to order chicken; nope, they're out. So we're directed to the more expensive items, which we ordered. Got rushed through paying because "she was leaving". We lingered another half

My wife and I as well as some of our local friends make it a point to visit the Kualapuu Cookhouse on a few occasions each time we visit Molokai. This year has been no exception. We went up for their Thursday night Prime Rib Special and had another enjoyable evening. As usual it is necessary to get there a... More

Sorry, we were really looking forward to a meal at the Cookhouse since it was supposed to be one of the best on Molokai. Well, it wasn't. The food was almost inedible. The meat was so overcooked you weren't sure what type of animal it may have come from The rice was off taste. This was one of the three... More
