We love the Kualapu'u Cookhouse. We love the atmosphere and sharing picnic tables outside with tourists or locals. The ribs are the best we've ever had anyplace...and the prime-rib (Thursday's) is wonderful too. We enjoy the owner Tina and have found everyone really friendly. Have had breakfast, lunch and dinner here. It is the best on Molokai! This is really... More

read a lot of reviews raving about this place-food was just ok. staff was very friendly. saw our food sitting on the counter waiting to be brought out for a while, watched flies land on it as it was sitting, and it was cold when i got mine.

There are only a handful of restos, diners, & cafes on Molokai & we tried them all during our 3 day visit. Kualapu'u Cook House is far & away #1 for food, service & ambiance. The small dining area could double as homey family commissary. Choose an inside table near the kitchen or a picnic table just outside. The staff... More

To be honest, I was going to rate it average until I had the teriyaki beef burger which was really good. Old, Hawaii style building with seating inside and out. Friendly people. Good iced tea. Pricing is a bit wonky with the various burgers well priced ($6-$8) but the various plate lunches a bit high ($12 up). All in all,... More

I would say this is the best meal we had on Molokai. The breakfasts are large, so you might want to split one. It is a typical Hawaiian place. Very simple building. Some outdoor seating. Casual dining. Great food. I wish we would have had time to come back for dinner or lunch.

Our snorkeling trip was cancelled due to bad waters so we came for breakfast. Specials included "Back to Bed Loco Moco" blue berry French toast. Wow! I couldn't finish the Loco Moco, 3 scoops of rice 2 Hamburg patties, hash, 2 eggs, brown gravy, so good... French toast was also excellent, deep fried in a tasty batter, we returned on... More

Enjoyed our meal at the Kualapu'u Cookhouse. Found it quickly and believe it's probably one of the better places to eat on the island.

The atmosphere is old Hawaii. We were a family of 10 that went to the cookhouse on New Year's Eve. They do not take reservations, so we went early --at 6:30. There was no room on the outside benches, so we ate at 2 tables inside. They were very accommodating and seemed genuinely happy to see us. Most of us... More
