This is a small lunch counter, but they have good hamburgers, fish burgers, local foods and you eat outside, nice for a picnic.
If you are living on the east end of Molokai, this is your quick stop for basics, not having to drive all the way into town. They make a great smoothly, too.
This place is not a gourmet restaurant but you can get some very good food here. This was the only place in the area where we could find a birthday treat for toe sisters. It was a Kalua pie! Restaurant type food is served here and it is surprisingly good. People were so very helpful.
I love this place. We stay in "the hood" quite often, and we frequent both the store and lunch counter a few times a week. The folks that work there are friendly and always say HOWZIT! The daily special is usually something good and the prices are fair. Sticky rice, mac salad inc in most lunch combos. Spend a little... More
We stayed at a cottage only a mile from this place, and found ourselves going here almost every day. The food is a walk-up counter where you grab take-out, and we enjoyed some great burgers and fish specials. Mostly we went for the grocery store food and the wine & beer, since where we stayed had a kitchen. They have... More
We were recommended the pork teri burger & a easoned fries. It was really yummy. Just the right seasoning, hot, fresh...can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu When you see a lot of locals, it's going tone good. The people were nice & friendly!
We stayed on the east side of Molokai so there aren't really any places to grab lunch or groceries..except Goods and Grinds. The food was yummy (we took our first lunch there with us and ate at the beach) and the store provided some much needed knickknackpaddywhacks. It was nice not having to go all the way to Kaunakakai..I probably... More
Stopped here when touring east end of Molokai. Only choice too. Got a teri beef sandwich on one of those large buns that has flour dusting on each side. The beef was so-so tender. Seasoned fries were good. Got a chocolate milk from store side. Perfect meal. Tables outside.
We stopped for a quick lunch, and were hesitant to order a big plate lunch, when the friendly counter person suggested ordering a small plate lunch. The chicken katsu was tasty as was the homemade mac salad. The small store had the basic items, but we didn't find it difficult to make the drive into town to shop at either... More
We stopped here on the way back from Halawa and had a great burger. We enjoyed it so much, we made a return trip later in the week. It's basically just a drive in, but it was good. There are a few picnic tables around but you will have to fight the flies.
