Stopped by one evening looking for take-out dinner to go with our wine from upcountry. Parking was easy with a lot next to the building and free on-street spaces. As we entered, Mr Giannotto kindly pointed out the sample of the pizza slice so you can judge how much you want to eat. They have ready pizza to sell by... More

Personally, I know my Italian food and pizza is my favorite. So I'll start with my main issue. The pizza sauce tastes like it is strait out of the can. The meat toppings taste like they are cooked days before and kept in the refrigerator to be used days later. The produce is not fresh and tastes like it's the... More

We stopped in for a quick bite to eat heading to Iao State Park. The place is located on the main drag (Hwy 32) in Wailuku. Filled with all sorts of memorabilia and posters proclaiming a proud Italian American connection - as well as a bias for the Washington Redskins. The pizza was good, service was friendly and was moderately... More

What a fun place with very good food. We read reviews in TA and YELP and decided we would give it a try and we're glad we did. Had a great plate of lasagna, Greek salad and two wonderful desserts, the Tiramisu, and chocolate cheesecake. Owner Dave was a chip of the old New Jersey block. We'd go back in... More

Influenced by the numerous great reviews we stopped for takeout pizza and a cannoli. Can't understand the almost reverent praise for this ordinary small place with no parking and a few outside tables fronting the relentless traffic on Wailuku's Main St. Should have opened the pizza box before arriving home as the pepperoni toppings were small and scarce. We would... More

Pizza and cheesecake were awesome! We ordered mozzarella sticks which came out super quick with hot marinara. The pizza followed and was fresh, hot out of the oven. And finally we ended with the chocolate cheesecake at Dave's suggestion. It was perfect!

Just returned from a trip to Maui. Had read reviews about Gianotto's and couldn't pass on the chance to give it a try. We ordered a large pizza with mushrooms, sausage, and bell pepper. The owner, Dave, was so friendly and welcoming. He even came out and talked to us for several mins. Reminded all of us of Robert DeNiro...just... More

Philly's the home of the cheesesteak, right? Giannotto's knocked it out of the park with one of the best cheesesteaks I've ever had. No foolin. How could a place in Maui do that? David, the owner, has Amoroso rolls frozen and shipped to his restaurant. And those who know cheesesteaks know that the roll make the cheesesteak. The owner, David,... More

My hubby and I were on a little weekend getaway from Oahu and had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Dave Giannotto at our very first visit to this fine Italian restaurant on Sunday night, 6/15/2014. We ate here for dinner. From the minute we entered his restaurant, he greeted us very warmly and made us feel like family. There... More
