Service was great. Food saturated in fat, and old tasting fat at that! While one dish at our table was acceptable, the rest of us left with bad stomachs and the smell of old frier fat in our clothes and hair. The parts of the meals that were not deep fried were fine though. Pretty sure we won't return. Too... More

What looks from the outside like a small hole-in-the-wall dive, serves fresh and incredibly wonderful gastronomic creations and great drinks. Reasonable prices, too. I had a chicken quesadilla and a "beastro" salad. The salad was huge, and quite fresh and tasty. The quesadilla was amazing, served with a half avocado on top. Yum! My husband had the special of the... More

This is for people who enjoy good food. The food is so good that you want to eat everyday. There is something as unique as fried brussel sprouts. Great place for some good italian lunch. Don't go by the looks of the place and definitely stop by for lunch to enjoy food and charm of wailuku town.

Little hole in the wall place with dark brown walls, and the only view is Main Street, or a parking lot in the back. You don't go for the ambiance - you go for the food. I've gone for lunch with a friend three times in the last few weeks, and we're on senior budgets. I think we aim to... More

We were driving around looking for a place to have lunch and decided to try Main Street Bistro. We are glad we did. Amazing flavors and delightful combinations. You should try their onion rings.

The grilled mahi mahi with fried artichokes with truffle oil and balsamic served with mashed potatoes was truly wonderful, as we're the cherry-wood smoked chicken quesadillas. The shoestring onion rings looked REALLY good, too. The beer was cold! The only negatives: long waits because there are only two waitresses who also serve as hostesses and just one cook on duty... Classy, quality food in a low key, historic setting, I ordered the mahi mahi over mashed potatoes with blackened artichokes...it was divine. I couldn't believe how great the potatoes were, the artichokes were outstanding as well. The fish was fresh.

Small hole in the wall place you might not look twice at but that would be a mistake. I think it's the owner doing the cooking and he is great. They are only open Monday-Friday and lots of locals eat there. They have specials every day, like avocado stuffed with crab, grilled Mahi, and it's all fresh and local. They... More

We went right after lunch at the start of the dinner hour and it felt like we were intruding on an event between the owner and his friends. The chef/owner was extremely kind to us. The prices were higher than we wanted to pay, so we got mini burgers and shared an order of french fries. The food was good,... More

We stopped in on the early side, and could barely tell they were open. Chef Tom was by himself, and quite charming. We were in the mood for just appetizers or small plates rather than entrees. We started with the half order of onion rings, which are the best we've ever had. Super paper thin, with a light coating, and... More
