To Die For...and you actually might

This banana bread is for lack of a better term, HEAVENLY. Lord have mercy. This bread. You won't rush through eating it. You will savor every little crumb that slips from your fingers. You'll pick it right up off your lap and pop it in your mouth. I bet you do. You will. It's that good... read more

Getting to Julia's is half the fun. Don't be intimidated by the road, The banana bread makes it all worthwhile. I think I paid $18 for two loafs. I gave $20. Awesome bread ! See ya next time Julia !

Moist not too sweet melts in your mouth.could be improved by adding walnuts like Lorraines.much better than any banana bread on the highway to Hana.

Located on Highway 340, on the north side of West Maui Mountains, between mileage markers 13 and 14, is a small green stand within the village of Kahakuloa. The is the perfect stop for travelers driving the sometimes challenging and one lane ancient road from Kapalua to Wailhe'e. The stand provides free sample of their banana bread, coconut candy, dried... More

As in I crushed the whole darn container. The stuff is to die for which is good because if you're not a good driver, the single lane road might take you there faster than you realize. Go early to make sure she hasn't run out! Family run, local business. Love it and always make the drive when we go back... More

A drive around Western Maui would not be complete without some banana bread. I don't give out many excellent ratings but Julia's loaf of banana bread was a winner in my opinion. It was still warm, slightly gooey, just the right flavour and helped us stick to the narrow roads of the volcanic northwest. Thanks Julia (Child?) for the bonafide... More

I've been lucky to stop by when the bread was fresh out of the oven and it's some of the best I've had. I've been there several times over the years and can say that they're consistent, so it's been a "must stop" on my trip around the "head" of Maui.

Julia's is the best dark, delicious banana bread I have ever tasted. The drive to get here, however, is a dangerous one. Tourists recently have driven off the very steep one lane roads. Think you might be able to order online from bananabreadlady3@aol.com. Just a note, if you are coming down a one way hill, be sure and check that... More

We've made the trek over to Julia's twice now and she had sold out both times. Make sure to go early if you want some banana bread. :)
