A local spot that we came across searching for a late breakfast. The place is very unpretentious and filled with locals. Everyone was very friendly and we were made to feel welcome. The pancakes are perfection from a griddle and my omelet and short stack were great and my wife's banana pancakes were wonderful. I'm kind of torn placing this... More

This is the place where local people come for a tasty, filling, decently-priced breakfast. The sign outside said "best pancakes", but I opted for a noodle dish, saimin. That was a really filling choice because there were more noodles in the dish than there was the broth! Very tasty. Other members in my group had the usual breakfast fare, saying... More

Best pancakes ever! No matter how full you are, there's always room for pancakes...at least here. A local restaurant that has been on maui since before I can remember with local grinds. Some items I'll steer clear from, hamburgers, since their patties changed, but the saimin, combo plate, spare ribs, and pancakes are...."winnahs". My kids love this place...and so does... More

In local jargon this means "tasty eats" and certainly describes this Maui dining experience and institution! Not many tourists find the place, let alone would see it as a great place for delicious, reasonably priced, meals. Nothing fancy. No frills. Just consistently fine food.

The wife and I can't miss going to this place when we visit Maui. The banana pancakes are fantastic. This is a restaurant for the locals in a working class neighborhood. If you are not comfortable sitting with the common folk then this place is not for you. However if you like good food at affordable prices give them a... More

Friendly staff with good service even though they were full and very busy. Banana pancakes were amazing, as was everything else. Doesn't look like much on the outside, but its a "must go" place in Wailuku.

Great local restaurant. The banana pancakes were wonderful. The decor and atmosphere are a bit run down, but the price more than makes up for it.

Tasty Crust is a restaurant that is a throw back in time. It reminds me of the restaurants from 40 years ago. Lots and lots of very friendly locals obviously love this place. We went here twice just for the absolutely outstanding banana pancakes. Also great about this cash only restaurant is that the prices are also a throw back.... More

On our way up for golf in Waiehu we grabbed breakfast at Tasty Crust and very glad we did. We ordered banana pancakes and the breakfast loco moco. Be sure to ask for the coconut syrup! Although, the waitresses were very friendly and casual fun and will ask if you want it or just bring it out. Excellent and tasty,... More

Tasty Crust feels like coming home to old Maui. A comfortable locals place with lots of character and characters. We love their corn bread! My favorite is the opakapaka and eggs. Excellent food at very reasonable prices. Be prepared for a humble locals place serving outstanding Maui locals food.
