Come Here for the Breakfast and Order the Banana Pancakes!

I was out here on a business trip and happen to find this gem doing a search for breakfast places near my hotel. I am glad that I came here. The waitress immediately greeted me and told me to sit anywhere I liked. The place is a older diner that looks like to came out of the 60's. Yes, it... read more

A "Local" friend of mine met us for breakfast at TC. He wanted us to try a local-style restaurant. Other reviewers were right. Those Banana Pancakes were DELICIOUS! The prices were very reasonably for Maui, too. We'll definitely be back.

We are locals and Kamaainas officially when we eat breakfast at Tasty Crust. Opakapaka and eggs is what we order with a side of corn bread and fresh papaya for a locals breakfast and true Hawaiiana experience. We go at least 3 or 4 times every Maui visit. Humble place with reasonable prices.

Saimin looks very similar to Ramen but a diffrent, though I cannot tell the difference specifically. It can go as breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is so light and good for a starter in a day of hung-over. When I was there, it was my favourite daily meal. I never get tired of Saimin here.

We were recommended to this place from a nice guy at a biker bar the nite before. We sat down and asked for some coffee because we did not sleep well the nite before. I ordered the meat breakfast and it was not exciting at all. The bacon was overcooked the sausages were the frozen kind that are hard to... More

Food was cooked well, served hot. I ordered the loco moco, decent portion. My boyfriend ordered the banana pancakes. We both really enjoyed them. Coffee was refilled often. The bathrooms and facilities were clean. There was ample wrap around parking. It's a local hang out. Breakfast was about $10 per plate including coffee. Ate there twice on our trip, and... More

The banana pancakes are really good! Especially with a side of bacon and spam. I did not like the coffee, but I'm a bit of a snob in that regard.

Tasty Crust is located in Wailuku, Maui, and is a Hawaiian local place to eat. It is well known for their pancakes which are fluffy, light and delicious! The pancakes are served with a maple flavored syrup and a coconut maple syrup is available as well. There are other local Hawaiian breakfasts such as Loco Moco, Spam, Portuguese sausage, rice... I wouldn't recommend driving across the island to eat here but if you are nearby you can expect a great local dining experience. We were here just before Christmas, staff were very friendly and outgoing. Lots of local chowing down on pancakes and plate lunches. Good milkshake. I wasn't overly hungry and ordered a BLT. Just average. The menu on... More
