ok first off i have to say two main reason we came here 1) i had a 10% coupon 2) they had ribeye steak(my b/f wanted) the decor of the place was nice nothing too pretentious. the view of the surfers in the ocean was outstanding. too cool! we ordered the prawns for appetizers....excellent. we both ordered ribeye steak...it was... more

We went here twice for lunch during our week in Maui, both times after active mornings. The fish sandwich is perfect, light flaky fish in a Panko-style breading and golden fried, served on sweet bread with crunchy lettuce and tomato. The prawn cocktail appetizer is a great way to sample the prawns they apparently go to some trouble to import,... more

We were greeted warmly, given a window table, and had an outstanding server. The food was absolutely delicious! The salad was quite generous and fresh from the garden. The steak and prawns combination was to die for. We have been going to Maui for years, but we never had stopped there. I will be going next year for sure. more

The food is over priced, the hostess gave our table to another couple and left us at the bar where the drinks were mostly water. After inquiring about our table, since there were many empty tables at this time, the hostess made no effort to make things right by offering free dessert or anything else. We did get a "sorry"... more

Buzz's Wharf is right outside Kihei. We'd visited several restaurants and the food, especially seafood, was specular. Maybe that was why Buzz's Wharf was so mediocre. I had the Mahi Mahi and it wasn't very taste, was very limp, as in not firm. It just didn't taste or feel very fresh like we'd become accustomed to. And it definitely wasn't... more

I had read a review in a guidebook that said this place was not very good. Now I read the tripadvisor.com reviews as this place being not too good either, so I must have had good timing. I had a great meal here! I ordered one of their combos, advertised as a plate lunch, but much better. It had a... more

Macademia Pie! Terrific. Mai Tai was over priced but good...second was better ;<) Since everything on Maui is very pricey, we were prepared. Burger lunch was good, service so-so. With new knee surgery the stairs were not fun. View of the marina and the harbor were worth it. Did I mention the Macademia Pie? more

Had a bad lunch with friends here and cannot recommend Buzzs to anyone. I have been coming to Maui 29 years and never ate here before and now know that I haven't been missing anything. Prawns were ok but not worth $5 each. Rice and macarroni salad were bland and unimaginative. The mixed vegatables were a joke...two pieces of sliced... more

Both the hostess and the waitress pushed the "award winning prawns" which were $25 for lunch. The plate consisted of 5 prawns and a small amount of rice. They were very tasty. If there were 10, it would have been value for the money. Who wants to pay $25 for lunch and leave very hungry. $10 for a Mai Tai... more
