Description: Mama's Fish House is actually a converted beach house in a coconut grove on a secluded white sand beach. Inside, hinged windows open to let in the trade winds and Polynesian artifacts and original oil paintings decorate tropical hardwood walls. The rooms are filled with spectacular flower arrangements and tapa print cloths cover the tables. Outdoor dining is equally exciting, and everyone enjoys watching the windsurfers performing offshore.

So I am amazed on how many people think this is the best seafood on Maui. Is it fresh? Yes - Is it tasty? Yea. However, is it the best seafood I ever had? Not a chance! First the pricing on their entrees are 15-20 percent over priced. Your paying for a view, which you can find in a lot... More

We went to Mama's Fish House while on vacation this past week. Changed our reservation from two to four at the last minute with no problem. Excellent atmosphere, and food to match. Service was top notch as well! I don't know if I will ever be back in Maui, but if I am, lunch or dinner will be with my... More

The location of Mama's is really spectacural. The food and the service was excellent. Price are a little high, but not too much considere the quality of the food. We went there a second time to try the famous Mahimahi. Simply delicious the dessert chocolate in the shell . Reservations are a must. Complementary valet is provided.

If you get a chance you should not miss this restaurant. It has great views of the ocean and the food was really good. It is a perfect for couples. For families with young children I would recommend that you come during lunch like we did. The menu is a trimed down version of the dinner menu but still enjoyable.

Mama's is absolutely provides the freshest seafood on Maui. The setting is great, service is outstanding. The only negative is the price. My wife and I went there on a 30th anniversary trip and we were treated like royalty. We each had one drink, shared an appetizer, the mahi entree (excellent!), shared a dessert, and the bill was just over... More

When spending a week in Wailea with family, we had done plenty of research on places to eat. Mama's fish house came up as a top-rated place with awesome food and a fantastic atmosphere. I will say, the setting is amazing. We took some fantastic family photos (I'm talking Christmas card worthy) on the beach right outside the restaurant. We... More

This is another tourist Mecca I avoided for decades. Visitors always raved about it. Finally, we decided to visit. The pluses: great seafood, good service and occasionally spectacular sunsets in front of the restaurant. The minuses: make sure you have plenty of room on your credit card limit; you may have to wait, and this is tourist central. I recommend... More

This is a one of a kind, truly unique restaurant in every way. I went there the last time I was in Maui, about fifteen years ago. It has completely changed. It used to be small, quaint and rustic. It is now completely upscale and huge. However, the way it is laid out, it still maintains an intimate atmosphere. The... More

Some serious attitude. This guy was one of the rudest, impolite people we have ever run across. Probably still giving some granny the rules and a hard time. None the less - this is a beautiful settings for a restaurant on any island. We were only checking the place out and did still make a reservation but not because of... More
