We dream of this place . . .

Seriously some of the BEST FISH we have EVER had, and so affordable! Family dining -- big long tables, sit with whoever, and always a long line, so be ready to wait. BUT THE WAIT IS WORTH IT. We ate here again and again -- we couldn't get enough of it, and now, we merely dream of the day we... read more

Always a nice trip to Paia for the Fish Tacos. Quick service and delicious food. We always get them to go, we then drive to Ho'okipa and watch the surfers...fun and memorable.

Another local gem in Paia. Visited a number of times on this trip including takeaway and each time the food was excellent. Fish dishes are specialty and do not disappoint.

This is a great lunch place (or fairly quick take out place) for seafood. The place is always packed and attracts many locals - very good to see. The seafood is very fresh and nicely portioned - you will not go hungry. The setting in the restaurant is nice with picnic style tables throughout. The lines can be long, and... More

As many do, we stopped here on the return journey of the (hellish) Road to Hana. Paia is an interesting town. It appears that this is where all the surfer dudes and hippies end up, among a lot of other characters. It's a nice stroll around town after eating. The restaurant is located at the corner of the main street... More

Hit the Paia FM on the way back from Hana. We placed 2 orders to go because of our sleeping baby we didn't want to wake. Ended up slaughtering our massive tacos in the car! They were so good! You can order the tacos a la carte for $5 a pop or you can get 2 with a massive side... More

A friend recommended this place and boy was it good. It is situated at the corner of two busy streets and is very unassuming. But once you get in be ready for one of the freshest and delicious fish sandwiches. Casual, comfortable and reasonably priced. It looked like a favorite for the locals and tourists, don't miss it. Also, when... More

I'm vegan so I didn't expect much from a place called "fish market", I ordered the veg lunch plate which was a quesadilla (they obliged to do this without cheese) and it was perfect. The tortilla was clearly made in-house and fresh, the serving was large and actually a great value for $10. Downside: It does get very busy and... More

Returning from the road to Hana, we asked two different locals about where to eat in Pai'a and they both said this place. We split a perfectly cooked fresh Mahimahi dinner plate for lunch. We had a lot of great fish on our trip and this charbroiled beauty compared to the fine dining places we ate at. Great spot!

Interesting concept in Maui, you order and pay first, then find a seat where you can eat. Food here was served quickly, was relatively cheap (for hawaii) and didn't dissapoint. One comment is that there's a lot of side food on your plate (salad, fries, etc) whereas other fish market food places the main focus (meaning most of the plate)... More
