This is a very informal spot. You order your food and then find a seat at long tables. The fish was very fresh for fish tacos and everything else on the menu.

You have to be prepared for a raucous high school cafeteria sharing-a-picnic-table experience, only in this high school, there are surfers, hippies, tourists, earth muffins, and couples with kids. If you are, you’re in for a treat. Not knowing the inside scoop on the massive portions, I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled opah and a side of coleslaw. I... More

Great fresh fish sandwiches, plates, and other dishes...enjoyed with other locals and tourists and shared seating tables. Fast service, yummy food, good value...what more can you ask?

Last week I ordered seven take out dinners, sides, and beverages at Paia Fish Market. The cashier gave me the bill and then proceeded to lecture me that the order was too large and I was causing the cooks to be overworked and the kitchen to slow down! Therefore she was adding a 20% gratuity to my take out order... More

Exceptional food, $40 for two plates, but huge amount of food. Taco plate big enough to share. Grat wine and beer list.

The Paia Fish Market is not a formal restaurant--no pre-dinner drink here. Customers order at the counter and pick up their selections when their numbers are called. Seating is picnic-table style and pretty sparse and tight. Lines can be long. Thankfully, there is a public parking lot right down the street; street parking is difficult on a very BUSY corner.... Great value. Excellent food. Can get very very busy and might be hard to find a seat in the communal tables.

While wandering The shops of Paia, we stopped for a bite to eat at the Paia Fish Market. We had eaten here before so we knew it was worth the wait in line. We also knew to wait until after we placed our order to grab a place at the shared tables. There is somehow a well timed turnover that... More

Let me start by saying I really appreciate a generous, healthy portion of fresh salmon (or many other types, almost all native to Hawaiian waters), grilled or char-broiled to perfection. Add a beautiful Maui day, cole slaw, Spanish rice, and a cool iced tea, and you have near-perfection. You'll get all that here plus some friendly conversation but $27 is... More

This corner restaurant usually has a long (but fast moving) line from out the door to the one staff person taking orders at the one cash register. It is worth the line because the food is well prepared - good portions - great sides. My only negative is that they need additional seating (an outside area would be nice -... More
