OK - you get a plane ticket and travel guidebook because you want to go to Hawaii - the plane lands, and still you have yet to hear one single 'aloha' expressed with joy - then you get to Paia where you are confronted with super duper WHITE GARBAGE - ka po'e 'ili ke'oke'o 'opala - garbage white skin -... The town of Pa'ia was busy for lunch. Parking was minimal and we did a lot of driving around before we found a spot. We had chosen another restaurant using Trip advisor but they were no longer in business. This was our next choice and they had a table. I had the Jumbo shrimp mixed plate which was a very... More

The ambience is sort of beatnik, the food is good - the tuna melt made with chopped fresh tuna was excellent, accompanied by very good fries, and a good pint of local ale - service is good. If you are around Paia, this is a good stop for lunch. We enjoyed it.

The burgers were good and the fries were too. The menu, and kitchen were good too. They have another place in New York out on the Island somewhere and it was reflected in their service and atmosphere - a little too to - I couldn't put my finger on it.

We had lunch here twice on our last visit to Maui. Food is fresh, tastes homemade, and reasonably priced. Restaurant is quirky and fun and staff is very friendly. We tried the specials & some menu items. Everything was very good. Portions are very generous. We will plan a meal or two here when we go back to Maui next... More

This is a very good cafe with excellent fresh quality food. They also have a good happy hour. Try the duck burger it's awesome. The fish salad is delicious. The staff are helpful, smiling and attentive.

Took the family to dinner at Cafe Mambo in early July. It was busy, but we managed to get a table for five without waiting for too long. Mama and papa had pina coladas, and they were goood! Kids had smoothies. We ordered burgers all round. The "Ahi" (seared tuna steak) burger was particularly tasty. The bride reported that the... More

Nice spot for lunch if you are in the area. Casual (bathing suits with a top are just fine), great colors, nice staff, good value. Family of 5 (kids 12, 15, 18) had lunch here after a bike ride down Haleakala. We had: fajitas, quesadillas, cheeseburger, and the famous duck burgers. 2 of us were so looking forward to the... More

We stopped here for breakfast one morning and it was darn good food. I had the breakfast burrito and it stuffed me right up. My wife had Huevos Rancheros and she loved it too. Great little cafe, give it a shot!

Best duck burger ever! Great spot in a very cool Haawaiin town. Stopped in on a recommendation from Maui Easy Riders - definitely worth the time to go and get a good burger and craft beer,
