Unexpectedly great!

We drove out the Paia for the day to check out the town. After walking around for an hour or so, we looked at a couple of restaurants and landed at Cafe Mambo for lunch. Looking at the outside, you wouldn't expect much more than a glorified coffee shop. They do indeed serve coffee but also have a... read more

So my wife and I survived the road to Hana. It was arduous and exhausting and very trying. As we made our way back we were both starving and knew we could find good food in Paia. Our breakfast that morning was amazing and we had bought our lunch in Paia as well, also delicious. So we stopped by Paia... More

We had been to Paia numerous times. We had even stopped by Cafe Mambo for coffee and treats. This was the first time that we have a meal there. The surroundings are colorful, comfortable and clean. The service was excellent. We each had a different kind of fish sandwich. The food was perfectly prepared, no mean feat for a fish... More

We were going to eat at another vegan-friendly eatery that was super busy, so while we were waiting to get a table we had a look around at the shops. As soon as we walked to the front of Cafe Mambo I saw the giant blackboard menu at the rear with 'VEGAN MEDITERRANEAN POCKET' written in massive letters. I thought... More

What a great little place! The menu is limited but everything is sooo good! It's pretty much a burger joint but not like any other burger place. Try the Crispy Duck Burger or the Wild Boar Burger. Don't forget desert!

Mambos has great burgers, salads, fajitas and margaritas, but for me the best part is grabbing a beer and sitting next to the huge, open air bay windows. Try the duck salad or the ahi burger, but make sure to ask for jalepenos and a wedge of lime to squeeze on the burger. You will not be disappointed.

My boyfriend and I stopped here for breakfast after hiking out of Haleakala and watching the sun rise. Cute establishment, inspiring pictures on the walls. I ordered quinoa with eggs and grilled veggies. He ordered an omelette. My dish was more sweet than expected but very delicious. His was a little heavy on the cheese but since he's a dude... More

We were seeking breakfast before looking around town on a rainy day. What we encountered was a relaxed atmosphere and good food. The menu offered several items of interest and the waitperson was very prompt and friendly. If you can find a place to park, you need to check out this place.
