If you want to visit a genuine Hawaiian bakery & store, you have to stop by here and buy some morning treats (donuts, cookies, etc) or bread. By the way, every thing they make is delicious and a real treat. Besides being a bakery, they are also a general grocery store. They seem to have been in business forever, but... More

We were there too late for the goodies so picked up some cookies and sweet rolls instead. I love macadamia nuts and there are bits of it in every bite of the cookie! We heated up the sweet rolls and they were so soft and buttery. Definitely get there for the fresh goodies.

Oh my goodness....just remember not on Wednesdays or Sundays they are closed. Other than that the best fresh buttery sweet and airy cream puff pastries ever! Love Komodas! There is a line out the door in the morning for a reason folks.

Make sure you come early or you'll miss on the best Guava Pastries you'll ever have. The bakery is small, family owned so you have to serve yourself, then go pay. All the baked goods are good.

We made the drive to Makawao just to try this bakery. I am not sure it was worth it. The baked goods were nice, but not life changing. I ordered in advance, so that I could try everything that interested me. I tried: guave malasadas, stick donut, long johns and chocolate cream puffs. The guava filed pastry and the long... More

I have two favorite desserts one is cannoli and the other is malasadas and Komoda's has by far the best malasadas on the islands. But they don't end there they do a great long john, I didn't realize you could put that much filling in a donut, we had a chocolate one, as well as the macadamia nut donut on... More

NO trip to Maui would be complete without a trip to Komoda bakery. The cream puffs have custard inside - LOTS of custard. And it is the best custard I've every had. Oh my! I hate to rate it so highly, because it will make it more crowded. They always sell out early. It is a very small place, 1/2... More

You go there for one reason-"baked goods", and in particular the donuts on a stick of their long johns. Enjoy!

Ok, so we drive 45 min to this bakery every time we are in Maui and more than one time a trip! The best donuts I have EVER eaten! The bakery opens at 7:00 am and you should get there as early as you can. If you get there after 10 the selection is dwindling. Also it is closed Sundays... More
