'The Third Friday' of the month in Makawao is a really busy night in Maui. This is the night to come shopping, listen to outdoor or street music, and eat and drink at several good restaurants in Makawao. This is our second trip staying in Makawao and have been to the Casanova a few times. I last reviewed the Casanova... More

I am from Seattle so I drink a lot of coffee. This was a great coffee shop. You can sit on the deck and watch what is going on or just hang out with locals. The staff is very pleasant and the service I good. Lots of very yummy looking pastries, cakes, cookies. Loved it!

After a sunrise visit to Haleakala, we cam down the mountain ready for a day of fun in Maui. I had heard that Makawao was a nice town, likely from some one on tripadvisor. We drove in on a Sunday AM. Some places were closed but people were coming out of Casanova. We went in and people were chatting in... More

Probably our 20th visit and always a good night. Had Genova pizza, Tonno Ahi and salads. All very good. Good happy hour before 6. Don't get in a rush, but just enjoy. Mostly locals and return diners.

We made reservations and got there on time 6pm. the front hostess were very rude on helping us with a handicap situation. making faces etc, eventho, the gentlemen was a very well know personality. The service was equally indifferent. Food came out after a wait, and it was so/so. This place has gone alittle downhill since my last year visit.when you... More

Our salad came before our bread, a focaccia lacking warmth and any discernible flavor. Endive is more about presentation than palette pleasing and its companions didn't make up for it. Biggest gripe: we arrived before 6pm, restaurant was half full at the time and had to wait ~45 minutes for our entrees. Flavor on my gnocchi was good, size of... More

Makawao is called the "cowboy town" and this Italian restaurant has all the character to fit right in to that description. The booths show their age and the bar stools are from a day gone bye; but the room is bright and clean. The menu is varied with pastas, pizza, hamburgers and steak. The pasta is homemade and fresh and... More

I liked the option of having a substantial salad as an entree and they had several choices. Service was indifferent.

We enjoyed the decor, the great food and the courteous service. Prices are modest and affordable. Wonderful time.
