Tasty Italian food

as soon as we walked in the door the aroma from the kitchen had me hooked. We were a party of six, and our reservation provided a large table with plenty of room around it. We love that we can go and share a half carafe of Chianti for just $5 and enjoy some quiet conversation and a delicious meal so close to our home. Casanova has been a staple of our dining circuit for over 25 years.

Simply fresh and delicious thin crust pizza is served here. We were able to get one half BBQ chicken and the other Hawaiian to enjoy two flavors. Their large pizza selection could serve 1-2 people depending on how hungry you are. All their alcoholic beverages were very full servings. Next door is their deli/coffee/dessert bar if you did not want... More

Over the years we would stop into Casanovas every 3 months or so just because there is not to many places to dine upcountry. Went the other night on the fly and the place looked maybe half full. Waited at the door for a endless 3 to 4 minutes, thats long when the place is slow..Bartender was fine, "let me... More

We have been stopping at this Casanova Restaurant whenever we are near Makawao. The food is so delicious, everything on the menu is excellent. There is a great variety of entrees as well as appetizers. Service is always excellent as well. The servers are friendly and efficient. The prices are comparable to any other place. They open at five p.m.... More

I guess we were expecting more. The 3 of us each ordered different sandwiches. My husband ordered the meatball sandwich on a baquette which he really liked. Our friend ordered the Primevera` which was eggplant, goat cheese and zucchini grilled on fococcia and I ordered the artichoke and brie on a baquette. The Primevera was good, not great--just good. My... More

Primary reason to vist Casanovas was the Willie K show. Willie was fantastic and is worth seeing when in Maui. Unfortunately we both had pasta dishes which were average at beSt. Mine was over salted and was not edible. Mamagement didnt charge me for the meal which was appreciated. I'm not sure I would reorder the pasta and might go... More

Surprisingly good with excellent service and good wine list. Lots of Napa/Sonoma wines. The decor could use some help, but great pizza and salad.

I was last week in Makawao and I had vegetarian pasta. The pasta was excelent, espresso from Lavazza yummi, but the service wasn't friendly. I wanted a fresh orange juice and got it with water (which tastes badly and makes my tummy go wild) :(
