We always come here for a few meals. We stay at the Pikake, A-6, which is just up the street. The Panko Mahi is excellent, and we really like the broiled mahi - Just good solid food, perfect for that first meal after you arrive from the mainland. Easily large enough portions to share for a couple. Never been disappointed. more

Sauteed Mahi Mahi , the best on the island!! First place we eat when we arrive on Maui. Prices have gone up over the years but portions and quality have not changed. The food is wonderful. downfall is seating the place is so small. We call ahead and get take out. Never a long wait if you do that. The... more

This place is a carry out only and has great food at affordable price which is hard to find in Maui. The fish here is very fresh and tasted great. It is helpful to call in the order so that way it will be ready for you when you are there. In my opinion this is the best place to... more

We read that this take out was one of the best in town. The chef who bought this in 2006 previously worked for Mama's Fish House. Mama's has a great reputation for seafood on the north shore of the island. This is not a "dress up and be waited on" restaurant. It's a take out place. Your more than welcome... more

I had high expectations based on the previous reviews. Maybe it was the food we chose but it was just average. We ordered 2 plate lunches, the Teriyaki Steak and Garlic Chicken and it came out to $26, which is not that good of a deal for lunch. The food was not bad, but wasn't that delicious either. The service... more

We got take-out here one night for dinner. The tab came to under $100 for six of us and the food was simply excellent. Try the salmon and mahi-mahi dishes. It was so good that I ate the leftovers for breakfast the next morning. A good place to eat at a reasonable price. more

The lemon caper mahi-mahi was the best fish we had while on Maui! The man working there directed us to a beautiful beach park (with a play structure for the kids) just a few footsteps away. Can't beat fresh fish and a great view for a perfect Maui experience! more

This place has been FAB. for many years. They changed hands in 2006, and they were smart enough to keep the same format. ABsolutely, we recommend it for takeout. We have never eaten there, but have picked up food for the last 10 years or so and have always loved it. Also, the people there are really nice--great aloha spirit.... more

Having read about this place in the "blue book", we reluctantly decided to give it a try, the idea of the take-out joint had not been very appealling. What a wonderful surprise though! Food is just absolutely delicious! Prices are quite high, but it's Maui, so this comes with the territory. They only accept cash, so be prepared. Rice is... more

In our last night at Maui, we just want to relax and stay at our rental apartment instead of going to nice restaurant. We drove to Honokowai Okazuya for some take-out food and LOVE it. Our entrees are only like $10-15 each and the quality are way above it. My fiance really wants to try their Chicken Katsu over rice,... more
