Practice Aloha

Practice Aloha is the slogan of this fine place; on the ocean. On the ocean is always a plus in my book; for some places it's an excuse to dish up mediocre food. Not so with Mala. It is a small place with good people and good food. They make homemade buns for their sandwiches, oh my. There are... read more

My husband and I go to Maui about once a year and every time we are there Ma'la is a MUST! It's a small restaurant so definitely make a reservation, sunset is perfect because before then it gets pretty hot outside. We always get the whole cooked fish and it is beyond delicious. The food there is always delicious and... More

This restaurant is a "must visit" every time I am in Maui. It is consistently delicious and you cannot beat the sunset views from the patio. I would highly recommend ordering the Ahi Tuna Bruschetta appetizer. Every entree we've had is fantastic. Make a reservation as it is a popular spot.

I booked a reservation upon the recommendation of a friend, and it was amazing! I made a reservation online, and despite them saying they couldn't take reservations on the lanai, we got the perfect corner table right next to the water. The food was so delicious. We started with the highly recommended ahi tuna bruschetta on toasted flax bread -... More

There may not be a better located restaurant in Lahaina, and that is saying a lot. The sea turtles were literally frolicking on the rocks just on the other side of the railing where we were seated. The kids loved it and so did we. The view of the setting sun is perfect from here as well. The food is... More

Yes, this restaurant is crowded and loud, but if you follow the mantra of the owners and "practice aloha" you will quickly settle in and enjoy what this setting is all about. Everybody here is looking for an epic meal and fantastic view of the sunset. The epic meal is guaranteed but the view may not be forthcoming. There are... More

great spot but old and with low ceilings. We sat outside and enjoyed a perfect day on the patio that had mesh wind screens. Located at the end of three dining spots owned by same couple. Mostly a dinner spot on the high end. Setting is less gracious then its next door neighbor, Wait person was great....drinks perfect and the... More

We loved this place and its location. Had lamb meatballs and $44.00 Ahi tuna plate that was truly the best I've eaten. Quite pricey but worth the splurge. Reserve for sunset.

One of the best meals we had! The service was quick, but not rushed. Tables were close together but still a great experience. We ate outside and were right next to the rock wall, it was great we were feet from the water and watched the sunset while we ate. Also got to see some big sea turtles while we... More
