I had many comments how this restaurant is a place to go and we did. Please allow me to get to chase of why my comment will make you wonder if this restaurant is for you. I had a bbq rib dish and it was delicious. My wife had a Mahi Mahi dish which, if that, weight about 4 ounces.... More

My wife and I stopped in Ma'la during a day trip we made to Lahaina while on our honeymoon in Maui. It was recommended to us by the helicopter pilot on the tour we did earlier that day (see my review for Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tours). One of the things I liked most about the place is they use local... More

We traveled to Maui for our Honeymoon this past July. For one of our wedding gifts we received a $200 gift card to Ma'La along with a reservation (definitely get a reservation..glad we did). I cannot stress how awesome of a view you will be treated to if you reserve an outside table around sunset. You are literally sitting next... More

This is honestly my favorite place in Maui to eat at. STUNNING views, great service and delicious food. I would recommend this place to any one visiting the island. I ordered the Mahi mahi ala plancha and it was divine. Hubby opted for the burger which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend it! I would recommend calling ahead and reserving a... More

We usually eat here at least twice whenever we go to Maui (last visit we managed three meals -- two lunches and one dinner) but this year we went once and that was enough. Service was not usual low-key, efficient and friendly but slow, incompetent and clearly the waiter couldn't care less if we enjoyed our meal or not. We... More

Food was very good but a bit overpriced. We tried the tuna bruschetta which was good but only had 4 pieces for $27. The goat cheese beet salad was nice. Had the seafood pasta for an entree which was pretty good but not worth $45. Not sure any pasta with a few bits of seafood is worth $45.... The only... More

Great view! A little smaller than Honu, but food is just as amazing. Definitely recommend reservations because of the size though. beet salad was fantastic.

This was our second trip to Maui and our second dining experience at Ma'la. As always, the outside dining was spectacular as you hear the ocean waves crackling over the rocks while enjoying your mai tai. This time was even more special since we saw sea turtles and rays while we were dining!!

Tuna appetizer is amazing! Best seats are on water - be sure to get reservation. Gets a little crowded.

Wow! The best meal we ate on the island. Highly recommend. Doesn't look much from the outside but the view inside during sunset is unsurpassed. Waiters were super and every dish better than the next. Six stars out of five.
