Stopped in for dinner on outside deck at sunset. Wonderful, delicious & beautiful being right over the water. The tables are close but this long married couple enjoyed getting to know the honeymooning couple right next to us. We loved our Asian accented O'Pakapaka, puupuus, great salads & very good Mai Tai's. (We've been on a fun quest throughout all... More

Had a early dinner here and everything was wonderful. My wife had the Kobe Burger ....... she has had it before and still says its the best burger she has EVER had . I had the Mahi Mahi and it was great. The view is the best we have ever had ...... right on the edge of the ocean. Plus... More

Ive eaten at Mala's numerous times over the years - the one at Lahina (the one a the Wailea Marriott is a totally different story) I was just there again last month and WOW, it was fabulous. Great quality food, light but satisfying, flavorful with bright lively surprises.... Excellent service - its my favorite restaurant - This is small restaurant,... More

We recently enjoyed a very nice lunch at Ma'la Ocean Tavern. They have a really nice and interesting menu with local specialties. The view is great sitting right on the ocean. We had the Ahi Bruschetta to start and it was fantastic! Also tried the "best Mai Tai on Maui", and I would have to agree! I would like to... More

Family knows their stuff. Everything on the menu is good. The Ahi bruschetta is fantastic as a starter. The whole fish with black beans garlic sauce is good for four or five people. Nice people nice setting great food

They don't honor their reservations and didn't seem to care. Food was ok, but there are better places for the price. Used to be a favorite spot but can't imagine going back.

Came here on a rainy night so outdoor seating wasn't as good. Dishes were well done but for the price ($30-60/entree) I felt we could eat at Spago at the Four Seasons and get a better value. Nice casual atmosphere though.

Two years ago we just loved this place and now we still do! The staff is so accommodating and friendly. The food is top, top quality, as good as you'll have on Maui. Then there's the sound of the Ocean hitting the rocks right in front of your table. If your lucky you'll catch the sunset as it goes down... More

Due to rainstorms, the patio seating was unavailable, reducing the number of tables available for those who had reservations. The host was very conscientious about this delay and showed us to the bar and served us edamous. We had a nice glass of very reasonably priced wine and all enjoyed our dinner. Go to Mala. It’s in a great location... More

We had our last dinner while on Maui at the Ma' la Ocean Tavern. We had eaten earlier in the week at Hone next door and enjoyed our meal so much that we decided to try the sister restaurant. I was a bit disappointed upon learning that there was no separate gluten free menu (unlike Honu), but our server was... More
