We went to dinner here because they had ads in the tourist brochures implying they were a fine dining establishment. Their location on the golf course is also very nice, at least from the outside. At home, most of our golf courses have very nice restaurants. But in fact they are a sports bar with mediocre food but fine dining... more

I have to admit, after reading the reviews of this place I was a little hesitant about dining here but glad we did. My wife and I were looking for a fun environment to watch the NFL playoffs and have a few drinks. We found it here...The service was top notch, thank you John and Tim. The food was great,... more

What a terrible meal! Menu says they had fresh catch but the waiter said no frsh fish. How about a good salad dressing? No. none are made at the restaurant. The chowder had such an unnatuarel smokey overtaste and was thin and watery. The avaocado spring rolls were pre-cooked and reheated and the bbq ribs were cold and tasteless. We... more

This is absolutely one of the worst restaurants we have ever attended. We had a bad experience at this restaurant about 3 years ago - but thought it might have improved - it hasn't. Service was terrible, as usual. The breakfast was so substandard I won't even elaborate - raw bacon, unripe papaya, yada yada yada. Some things just never... more

I should have taken it as a sign to turn around and walk the other way, when it took the hostess 15 minutes to realize we were waiting at the hostess stand for a table. But, the restaurant was a sports bar, and it was football Sunday, so we waited, and waited, and were finally shown to our table. Once... more

I just left The Rusty Harpoon and after reading all these negetative comments I am overwhelmed. Me and my wife just left the best meal we had on the island. We have eaten here three times and all time were great. The drinks are cheap and very Ono as they say in Hawaii. I think all the other reviews were... more

Never eat at this restaurant. We just returned from Maui and while there decided to have lunch last week (Thursday October 25, 2007) at the Rusty Harpoon. What a mistake. The food was tasteless and the service just plain awful. When we arrived (myself, my wife and our 13 year old duaghter) it was 11:30 a.m. Finally after we were... more
