Description: In the early days of the sugar plantations, lunch was a simple affair...
In the early days of the sugar plantations, lunch was a simple affair. Plantation workers gathered in the fields for their mid-day meal. The Japanese laborers would bring teriyaki beef with rice and pickled vegetables. Seated next to them might be their Filipino neighbors with the traditional dish adobo or perhaps a pork or chicken stew. The Koreans had their kalbi or marinated ribs and the Chinese a rice noodle and vegetable dish called chow fun. Hawaiians were known for their kalua pig, roasted in an underground oven called an imu. It wasn't long before they began to share their foods with one another and the "mixed plate" was born. Aloha Mixed Plate features true "Local" traditional plate lunches with open air seating directly on the ccean. We are open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Good food

This is a great little place. Situated on the water and next to The old lahaina luau. Get there early for happy hour which is between 3-5. The food was good and reasonably priced. Service is good as well with a friendly staff. They make good drinks here too

Good value, nice outdoor seating and would not order the Pulled Pork and Cabbage again, it was to salty to eat. With each bite you would crunch on rock salt.

We ate there twice within 24 hours because the food was good, the outside dining overlooked the ocean, fair prices with great service. What's not to like?

You know the old saying " go where the locals go ... Well, Aloha Mixed Plate is that kind of place. The casual, rustic, Hawaiian setting overlooking Lahaina Harbor serves the Best Breakfast in Lahaina Town. We ordered their speciality...Loco Moco...steamed rice topped with a homemade hamburger patty and 2 eggs, and, of course, their delicious gravy. The french toast... More

What makes this restaurant is the great staff as well as the good food. This is an outdoor restaurant so pick you weather wisely and be prepared to wait. Good home cooked food- the kahlua pork and cabbage is excellent and most entrees are served with rice and macaroni salad.

Without s doubt one of the tastiest meals I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. We shared a Beach Side Mixed Plate (if you hungry it's worth getting your own plate) and the food was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxing with a sunset beach view. Service was incredibly speedy considering how busy it was... More

The location & atmosphere is casual & Aloha! Open air bar on the beach with great food & relaxed but friendly service. Park in the mall across the road cause Front St is super busy. Happy hour is a must!

Ono means good, and this place is really good. Very affordable food, generous portions, and very nice people. It's one of the best places to eat in Lahaina. The Aloha mixed plate is good to give you a chance to try different foods that they offer. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The prices are very affordable.
