Description: In the early days of the sugar plantations, lunch was a simple affair...
In the early days of the sugar plantations, lunch was a simple affair. Plantation workers gathered in the fields for their mid-day meal. The Japanese laborers would bring teriyaki beef with rice and pickled vegetables. Seated next to them might be their Filipino neighbors with the traditional dish adobo or perhaps a pork or chicken stew. The Koreans had their kalbi or marinated ribs and the Chinese a rice noodle and vegetable dish called chow fun. Hawaiians were known for their kalua pig, roasted in an underground oven called an imu. It wasn't long before they began to share their foods with one another and the "mixed plate" was born. Aloha Mixed Plate features true "Local" traditional plate lunches with open air seating directly on the ccean. We are open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Stopped by on a whim

I was searching for a breakfast joint and stopped in on a whim. We were very pleasantly surprised. I had the loco moco and the ground beef patty was tender and well seasoned. My partner had a plate with their homemade sweet bread french toast, eggs, pineapple sausage (a substitution), and a side of... read more

My wife and I eat here several times a few years ago and really liked eating there. This time we were traveling with friends and we all had a great meal. Our server, Alyssa, took very good care of us I will ask for her the next time we eat there. We were seating in a perfect table to view... More

Found this place by recommendation. Such a casual beachside feel with great food. Dined here several times including breakfast lunch & dinner. Their pork is a top choice, most tender and tasteful I've ever had. It's been a year since we were there, so I will update after our next visit this year. Service was fun & spot on. A... More

We found the peak time for all restaurants in Lahaina for dinner waits is from 5:30-7:00pm (sunset). We went to Aloha mixed plate at 6pm and had to wait an hour to be seated, but your on Maui time, the surroundings are beautiful and there is a bar to access in the meantime. This place is very popular for families... More

We decided to give this place a try for lunch yesterday. They were busy and though we could see empty tables we were told a 15 to 20 minute wait for a table. So we opted to eat in the bar. Pub level chairs and a decorative surfboard as the table wasn't the best choice. But the bartender was our... More

We wanted to eat a local authentic Hawaiian dinner during our recent to Maui and Aloha Mixed Plate was recommended. The line was huge and we had to wait over 1/2 hour for our seat. It was a beautiful night and the staff was friendly but the food was god awful. I ordered the catch of the day which was... More

Great food and great staff makes every time enjoyable. We ordered a chicken dish, sorry can't remember the exact name. We were served our food by someone other then the waitress that took our order, and my husband starting eating his chicken and it was kinda over cooked but since we had never eaten there before we just thought that... After traveling 13 + hours wanted casual, a taste of Hawaii and a view to start with. AMP received very positive reviews from TripAdvisor. My DH and I split a Big Kahuna omelette and a fruit plate. The omelette was very good. The fruit was ok. We sat outside on the ocean and the view was beautiful. Overall a nice... More

Love this place. This place can be very busy at times and we noticed that when we got there BEFORE noon we could get right in with no wait. The food is wonderful and authentic at a very good price
