Description: In the early days of the sugar plantations, lunch was a simple affair...
In the early days of the sugar plantations, lunch was a simple affair. Plantation workers gathered in the fields for their mid-day meal. The Japanese laborers would bring teriyaki beef with rice and pickled vegetables. Seated next to them might be their Filipino neighbors with the traditional dish adobo or perhaps a pork or chicken stew. The Koreans had their kalbi or marinated ribs and the Chinese a rice noodle and vegetable dish called chow fun. Hawaiians were known for their kalua pig, roasted in an underground oven called an imu. It wasn't long before they began to share their foods with one another and the "mixed plate" was born. Aloha Mixed Plate features true "Local" traditional plate lunches with open air seating directly on the ccean. We are open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Great food, very good prices, beautiful setting all in Lahaina

We ate here on our last day in Maui this past August on the advice of the wait staff at Mala's, an upscale restaurant a few doors down. This was a great lunch! Wish we had known about this place sooner! The food was really good - fresh catch of the day sandwich (Monchong) was very light and... read more

We enjoyed the traditional Hawaiian food offered at Aloha Mixed Plate... it was fresh and ono (delicious). But what really stole the show was the view. Try to get a table close to sunset, and you'll be treated to some spectacular views. Prices were very reasonable for the location... would definitely recommend this restaurant!

The food here is PHENOMENAL and VERY affordable, which is a rare combination for this area! It's right on the Lahaina harbor, so it's great to go at sunset! BONUS: The Old Lahaina Luau is next door, so you might hear some of the show as you dine! Get the Shoyu chicken and prepare to be amazed!! If you're a... More

I don't understand how this rates #128 of Maui seafood restaurants and #46 of Lahaina seafood restaurants. Island fresh catch sandwich was $13.95 for 3 ounces with only one sauce topping of tartar sauce. Asked for extra sauce and the waitress dropped off Heinz tartar sauce packets. Providing this type of sauce should penalize a restaurant rating located right next... More

The seafront view is lovely, and is nicely laid out and the service is good, but i got food envy when my boyfriends teriyaki beef arrived. I had the kahlua pork which was average. Expect american style big portions

We had brunch here with 2 families. The setting is very casual and friendly. You don't need to be fancy here. The food was all good home cooking, Hawai'ian style. I had the Loco Moco and it was a bit undercooked, but the flavor was great. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and drinks.

Went kinda later in the evening. The atmosphere was nice, there was a luau next door so we heard the entertainment. I was wanting some noodles and that is why I picked this place and I'm glad we went. The food is good. To be more specific my husband had fried noodles and I had the chopped steak plate. And...
