Terrific food, great service and the preparation was an entertainment in itself. Good value. One of the highlights of our stay.

Me and my family had a great experience at Teppanyaki Dan! Chef Jay was awesome! Very skilled with his cooking utensils! My oldest son is wary of the onion volcano act and he made sure to make him feel comfortable with the steam and lighting the oil on fire!! Our entrees and side dishes were very good. The sauces were... More

Food was great, there was just so much of it. Chef was entertaining and my wife has an allergy to mushrooms and he was very careful when preparing the food to prepare hers first before cooking them for others. Food looked fresh.

We have been on the island four days having excellent meals and service everywhere we have been. That changed this evening. We made reservations for 7 PM. We arrived early (twenty minutes) and were instructed to wait at the bar area and she would come to us at the appropriate time. At 7:05 the hostess had not shown up. I... More

The food and the Chef are amazing. The server who brought the drinks was awful. It took forever to get anything from the server.

This is a relatively small restaurant in the Sheraton at Black Rock; they have about six Teppanyaki stations. We were seated within a few minutes of arrival, and were fairly promptly offered drinks, etc. The chef was very personable and the food was excellent. Portions are adequate enough to allow splitting a meal (although there is a split meal charge).

Maui is expensive - but this meal was with every penny. The food was amazing - get the rib eye and the fried rice. The fish of the day - red snapper was also excellent. The chef was entertaining and created a welcoming ambience. Not so good for squirmy kids - this meal should be savored. There are 2 seatings... More

Despite having reservations ahead, we still had to wait about a 1/2 hour. That is the only negative so I will get it out of the way. Probably the best hibachi I have had. Our chef was the best I've seen in his performance and casual chit chat. He prepared the fried rice with bacon and there was plenty of... More
