This was one of the worst meals we had in Maui. The food was disgusting overcooked and above all overpriced.

We visit Basil Tomato every time we go to Maui, the food and service is excellent. If you like calamari steaks, Basil Tomato's is tasty, tender and can be cut with your fork. The basil tomato bread is decadent and watching the geckos is a lot of fun. The Expedia travel office at the Royal Lahaina often have coupons with... More

is now 'all pau' Hawaiian speak for all over, done, fanito, no more... seems that the lease was up and the mgt chose not to renew at what was perceived as way too much to pay... sadly Basil Tomato is now just a memory to many... word on the street is that they well re-open at some point in time... It's a really nice quaint location and looks like a place you want to like. The appetizers and the salads were the highlight. Entrees were just horrible and not fresh. Could not eat the shrimp and my wife's linguini would not even roll up on a spoon as it was so hard. Not even close to cooked properly. All entrees... More

A small little open air place, overlooking the #5 tee box and ocean. Clearly Italian cuisine is the specialty, but you can get fresh seafood as well as beef steaks. We hit this place three times this week, as the food is that good. We never ordered a steak, but the fresh catch and Italian dishes are excellent. The stuffed... More

Went here because it was a short distance from our hotel. Also half price entree between 5 and 5:30. Waited at bar for table, the bartender was very personable and attentive. Once we were at our table seemed okay but waitress was not very attentive. She delivered our dinner and vanished until she delivered the bill which was incorrect as... More

we usually eat dinner here once each time we go to maui. Its very traditional(american)version of Italian food,IE: traditional Lasagna, veal marsalla etc... both of which we had this trip and they were very good. The tomato buratta salad was outstanding two things to note: 1. Get a table at the railing overlooking the golf course 2. If you go between 5-5:30... More

I hate it when you to to a restaurant, look at the menu and listen to the specials, and choose the wrong item. This place is pricey, I had the lobster ravioli, and sent it back due to being lukewarm. Should have got a new plate, but got the same one back. Thick gooey sauce, that was seasoned terribly. My... More

We loved the Hawaiian 'feel' of this Italian restaurant with its open lanai setting. The staff are really friendly and the menu offers good variety. As others have mentioned, the prices are steep (unless you can make the early bird pricing they offer before 5:30pm). We ate here our first night and decided to split a couple of the entrees... More

I don't like writing negative reviews but this is a place we would not go back to. My shrimp linguine lacked flavor... The shrimp was about the only good thing in it. My husbands monchong ? Fish was ok..... Served with rice. The bread was good. Great service just tasteless food that we felt was overpriced.
