Good food, beautiful view

This is a casual place right on Kaanapali Beach. The view is spectacular. Their clam chowder is excellent, as well as the mahi-mahi sandwich. Great mai-tai, also. People near our table ordered the lamb chops special that evening which looked delicious. They have a different special each night... read more

This place is tough to find but worth the search. Amazing views of the ocean make this a special breakfast. The food was very good and the portions were good. The map location is a bit off...it's almost on the water in a stand alone building just past the pool for the Aston Maui. Worst case, go into the Aston... More

Good local food for those looking for a non-brunch, comfortable, unpretentious option. It's an easy 20 minute walk from the Kaanapali group of hotels, and worth finding if you need to get away from the crowds.

We read several bad reviews before we ate here, so we were well warned, however we were staying on the property so we had hoped for a better experience. The food coming out of the kitchen all looked great, but frankly it just wasn't tasty. My lava flow was not one of the better ones I have had, and my... More

We went for breakfast and the view was definitely 5 stars. It was located right on the beach at the Maui Kaanapali Villas. There is a nice lawn area that my two year old loved running around on. The breakfast, however, was nothing special for me. I ordered the banana pancakes fully expecting them to have bananas inside, but instead... More

Well I came here about 5 years ago the food was great, the view was priceless, and service was awesome. This time the view was still priceless, the food still great but service was rude. I thought it was a fluke so I went back two more times and the table service was short and impersonal.

Stopped by for breakfast. Old fashioned, good, traditional breakfasts as a reasonable prices. It is right on the ocean and the service is good. The home fries are great. Menu items are good. A nice way to start the day.

The servers were wonderful. We had appetizers and tropical drinks at the walk up bar. Fried calamari and coconut shrimp were our favorites along with the Lava Flow and Mai Tai. Happy to see a restaurant have Budweiser products too. We are looking forward to returning to Maui and Castaway will be our 1st stop.

We've only eaten breakfast here but it's always been food and very reasonable. Comfortable, casual restaurant.

The best Bloodie Mary, best Malted Belgian Waffle, best French Toast, and the by far the best Huevos Rancheros I/we've had EVER!! If your looking for the Ritz, turn around. If you want an unpretentious, delicious beach front meal complete w/ a shuffle board court then come on down!!
