World class gem

We ended up eating here twice during our visit. They are open evenings only. Service was perfect, food was too. I had the catch of the day. So fresh, it was caught that morning. The chef uses two local fisherman that ring him fresh fish daily for him to prepare. Such a rare gem of a place I... read more

Second time at this restaurant, the pate de campagne was awful, service a lot to be desire. The fish and salad were ok.

A special family Christmas-eve dinner which will not be forgotten. Superb from the salad with hearts of palm, ahi tartare with taro chips as starters to the filet which my wife had and the fish which my daughters and I had monchong and opakapaka respectively cooked incredibly tastefully to the outrageous desserts (recommend the custard and the chocolate mousse). Service... More

Choose the patio to dine, great feel. Foie gras was nice sized portion but cold in center. Everything else, including service was great. Expensive but all the top restaurants are in maui would definitely go back

Out of town visitors and my husband and I went to Gerard's for dinner. We started with Shiitake mushrooms in a puff pastry, then chilled cucumber soup and a spinach salad. My husband and I had the fresh off the boat that day Snaper and our friends had the Rack of Lamb For desert we had the rhubarb pie with... More

My wife and I went here for Thanksgiving and had a great meal. We both got the pork and the meat was the most tender I have ever had with pork. It was very very good and the setting was awesome. We sat outside and really enjoyed ourselves. The desert was not too good (I forget the name but it... More

We had dinner there on Thanksgiving. The service was superb and the food was quite wonderful. The prices though were on the high side (I think we were into it for about $200 by the time we left). But you have to ask yourself this: how much is the best food you will ever eat worth?

We enjoy traveling and we look forward to trying out nice restaurants with good food. Perhaps most important of all, is the overall dining experience. Gerard's has all the potential, but did not deliver on the enjoyable experience. Sadly we felt stuck away, literally secured in place by the table pushed against the veranda. There was definitely a sense of... More

In a delightful historic plantation house, comfortably and nicely furnished, the setting for Gerard's is exceptional, although for the view one would have to walk down the block. The food is superb, the service first rate. My wife and I both had fresh Hawaiian snapper, delicately seasoned, beautifully presented. Gerard's salad and baby spinach salad were both excellent. The pate de... More

We dined at Gerard's last week. Our meal was delicious and service friendly and attentive. Starters included Cucumber Soup and house made pate. The special that evening sounded so good, we both ordered the opakapaka with champagne sauce, crab, beurre blanc and puréed lentils. Our server perfectly paired glasses of wine with each course. Husband loved his dessert of chocolate... More
