Usually I tend to go for Hawaiian Regional or Seafood restaurants while in Hawaii as when in Rome... However, when I saw on one of the travel shows that Gerards likes to use locally grown products in his dishes like surfing goat cheese in his cucumber soup, etc., I was intrigued at being able to try French Food with a... more

We chose Gerard's for our anniversary dinner. The service was very good, very attentive. We both ordered the quail for our main course and it was just o.k. as it was extremely salty. A little disappointing as we had heard wonderful things about the restaurant. We had eaten at the Lahaina Grill two nights prior and had an absolutely fabulous... more

and have a wonderful meal with terrific service. We've dined at Gerard's three times and have never been disappointed. I had the hearts of palm salad with those buttery Kula greens and my wife had a nice cold cucumber soup with Surfing Goat cheese. We both had uku, a gray snapper similar to opakapaka, with two different preparations. Dessert was... more

Tried Gerard's for the first time this last trip. The atmosphere was wonderful. It was cozy and relaxing. I was in the mood for sampling everything, so I ordered a bunch of appetizers. The escargot was good, but the scallops and spinach salad was bliss. The martinis were awesome. more

Even tho we've been to Maui many times, we've never been to Gerard's before this trip. It is definitely now on our list of must do's! We were seated at a lovely table on the wide porch, no, the street scene is not exactly picturesque, but we were there after dark, and it was fine. Twinkle lights in the trees,... more

Without a doubt, the best Maui has to offer. The freshest fish daily from the local harbor, it is a precious gem in a cluster of mediocrity that is Lahaina. The rack of lamb is a personal favorite, but Gerard's current menu has some new classics. You will be very glad you "discovered" this 27 year old landmark. And don't... more

Gerard's is certainly not typical of Maui or anywhere else in Hawaii. The food was expertly prepared and served by an experienced staff that knew what they were doing. The setting in an old plantation home is excellent. This place is expensive, but not by Maui standards. You can pay $25-$35 for an entree at a lot of mediocre places... more

When we're on Maui, we never miss Gerard's. The service is great, which is not always the case on Maui. The fresh fish is wonderful and since we stay on Kaanapali Beach it's just a few miles down the road in the middle of Lahaina. Gerard's has been around for years. My partner and I were just there and love... more

My husband and I were celebrating our 41st wedding anniversay this past week and this restaurant was just perfect. We dined outside on their lovely porch and the service was impeccable. The food was some of the best we have had and we have dined in some of the best restaurants in the world. We dined on chilled cucumber soup,... more

We arrived 1 hour early for our reservations because we had been out in the sun all day and were starving. We had hoped to get seated early, When we realized they were full for the night, we said "no problem, we have reservations in an hour, we'll be back then". The waiter said "oh, I'm sorry, didn't know you... more
