Just excellent

First time at this fine restaurant. The ambiance and the service were outstanding. We started off with the delicious house pate'. We took two versions of preparation of the grey snapper, both very unusual recipes done to perfection. We finished with the yummy profiteroles dipped in chocolate.

We requested a table on the veranda which had a lovely atmosphere. The waitress was knowledgeable about the food and enthusiastic. We had the most delicious meal the highlight of which was the grey snapper in an orange and ginger sauce. It was outstanding (and we eat a lot of fish!). The whole experience was so lovely I can highly... More

Gerad's is a good place to eat. However, there are some better dining options on the island. Gerad's will provide you with a good meal if the other places are all ready booked. I had the fresh fish which was decent; nothing to rave about. Another person in my party had the lamb which was delicious. One advantage to Gerad's... More

There are not so many people at night. Chef is French, working here for 33 years. The food is traditional French way and even the music is French. Fish and beef are delicious. It is said there is parking place there, but we didn't drive.

I've been to Hawaii several times and, while I love it more each time, I've never been enthralled with the food in that there is no distinctive style of cuisine. However, what is tops about Hawaii is the incredible freshness of the seafood, the locally-sourced produce and the amazing fruits & nuts. So, when my wife said that she wanted... More

We really enjoy French food and loved the quiet, cozy, relaxed atmosphere of Gerard's. We had escargot, fish of the day, pate maison and other dishes that were all good. The cocktails were also excellent.

Everytime we visit Maui we dine at Gerards. Some people say it's too expensive and stuffy but it really isn't. It is an Inn near downtown Lahina and the atmosphere is quaint and comfortable. The service is very professional and the cooking is superb. We have never had a bad meal. The prices are typical of fine dining in Hawaii.
