Hula Grill has always tempted me with its thatched roof tables, sand and appearance of fun, but my husband was emphatic in not wanting to eat there. I finally convinced him this last trip to try it again, only to realize that it was a big mistake. They have someone play nightly at the restaurant. When you're outside it sounds... more

We'll come here again and again. See link for more details: http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g580462-i10914-k3274908-l23346749-Trip_Report_11_09_11_16_09_Hyatt_stay-Ka_anapali_Maui_Hawaii.html Loved the pina coladas. DH loved maitai's. Kind of sunny in the afternoon. I want to try Leilani's on the Beach next time as they seem to have better sun shades. I love the sand between my toes though! more

We go to Maui every other year. This was our seventh trip. Hula Grill has been our favorite for years. When the General Manager was there, service was excellent and food was great. The night he wasn't, it was a miserable experience. Service was terrible. Food was average. Drinks were terrible. Will we go back? Sure we will, but I... more

This restaurant has one of 2 prime spots for ocean view restaurants at Whaler's Village. It has a dreamy Hawaiian atmosphere with a fantastic traditional Hawaiian band which all adds up to make the restaurant more authentic. But it gets busy - real busy - but if your prepared to wait for a table then this is the place to... more

The Barefoot Bar was one of our fondest memories from our Maui honeymoon 8 years ago. On our recent trip to Maui, we were looking forward to mai tais with our feet in the sand enjoying the view and the great company. When we arrived at 5:15pm and talked to the hostess, she informed us that happy hour ended at... more

We took about 20 people for dinner. They were very accommodating but the food was a little slow to arrive. Drinks are very reasonable. Live music was great. more

Hula Grill is always a must for lunch or dinner when we visit Maui each year. Teenagers love the burgers and Lava Flow drinks (virgin style), and adults love the coconut mac wontons, and korean ribs, and ice cold beer. Drinks are fun at the barfoot grill which is on the beach with sand beneath your feet, tiki huts provide... more

Really enjoy eating here. Food is reasonable, service is great. The bar has a great happy hour, and staff is friendly. Time your PM meal in order to catch some great sunsets here. more

My husband and I had been traveling around the islands for a month. We had eaten at the Hula Grill in Honolulu many times and it was always Excellent. When we arrived in Maui we decided to eat dinner at the Hula Grill in Kaanapali. On arrival we were seated and the view was gorgeous. We ordered a Mia Tia... more

We stayed at the Sheraton Maui and walked up to the Hula Grill one evening for dinner. We had heard good things about the restaurant so we were excited to see what they had. I had the pan seared ahi, and my husband had another type of fish (cant remember what it was). We had appetizers of scallop/lobster potstickers, which... more
