I'll start by saying service was good and location is nice being by a lush pool and waterfall. However... The food was so bad. Fish tacos were not good at all, I ordered a local meal , forgot the name but was recommended by the staff. It had macaroni salad , rice, hamburger patty with some sauce. It was tasteless.... More

We stayed at the Hyatt and ended up eating here our first meal (lunch) after arriving and checking in. We split a Hawaiian pizza ($25 but quite large) and a side salad ($9 each) the salads were a bit overpriced for the small side salad but I think the pizza was good value. We split a sandwich with our mid... More

We were staying in Ka'anapali and wanted to go for a drink. We found this place quite by accident as we were looking for another place but weren't able to find it. We sat at the bar and chatted with the bartenders. Very nice people, good drinks. Saw some people ordering food but we didn't as we had just had... More

The pool side bar/restaurant at Hyatt in Ka'anapali. Excellent Food! Great Service. Great selection of sandwiches, salads, and appetizers.

Everyday we were in Maui we had fish tacos at a different restaurant...so out of 6 different restaurants this place was the worst. $19 for 2 small, plain, tacos, with no side whatsoever. very disappointed.

I have come here to the hyatt hotel here for years (since the 80's) and they changed the fish taco menu. It is absolutely horrible and I would never order it again. That being said, the bartenders are awesome and so is the rest of the food. It is, by far, the best place on Maui to stay!

We stayed at the Hyatt and ate here by the pool one day. I ordered a ceasar salad and it was bland and plain, just not much too it. For the price we paid we could have ordered two more things at Hula Grill and still made out better. The food down there is better. It is really an overpriced... More

I happened to receive an $85 gift certificate to any restaurant in the Hyatt Maui and Japengos's was our first choice, but alas, it was not open for lunch so we decided to give the poolside restaurant Umalu a whirl. Even though our lunch was essentially free, I was nevertheless disappointed because I felt I had wasted an entire afternoon... More

The bartenders are really entertaining, and they give you your money's worth on drinks- quite strong. The food is good. A bit pricey for bar food, but the fish tacos are great. We also had the burger, pulled pork, and hot dog. Everything was very good, just not fancy. My only down is the music is a bit loud at... More

On 9-19-13 my wife and I went to Umalu for dinner. We parked the car ourselves, which was a bit of a walk for self parking, to Unalu at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. We arrive around 6 PM, sat ourselves, and was waited on promptly. The drinks, food, atmosphere and service was very good. With 4 cocktails and two dinners,... More
