Great steaks, seafood and a nice environment by the Karp pond. Great molikai dessert and generally good food.
Food was average at best. Took forever to get the food also. The waiter had to comment on ever step he did to pretend he was giving us great service instead of just getting on with the job. I had to remind him twice to get someone to relight one of the torches that separate the restaurant from the pool... More
We at at black rock steak and seafood two nights ago. What a great meal! Our table was perfect, right in the open air. The steaks were perfect, the wine selection was great. The service was excellent, but we are not people that have to become best buddies with the waiter to be happy. He did his job with a... More
Had dinner here w/my son while staying at the Sheraton during July, 2013. We made reservations, although the restaurant did not seem to be very busy (always good to be prepared, though). This restaurant is located in the Sheraton Maui at Black Rock. It is an upscale steak and seafood place with a beautiful open-air atmosphere. From my vantage point,... More
The atmosphere, food and staff all made for a lovely evening. Beautiful setting, tasty well served food.
I thought the staff were nice and the place was decorated well enough, but the food and drinks were expensive and not good at all. The calamari was some of the worst I have ever had, to be honest. I think they could easily step this place up, but it's worse than mediocre. I have had better food from poolside... More
We .really enjoyed this restaurant. Food was great, service was great. Our server Jeff was fantastic. At the end of the meal the Head Chef came out to talk to us. Nice touch. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant as well.
We took the 3-course prix-fixe meal. The prime rib was good but not large. We are not big eaters so it was good enough for us. The bisque was delicious and the dessert was great. Very enjoyable.
Overall the food and the service were good. It was a little pricey compared to other restaurants in the area but if you are staying at the Sheraton and don't want to go off property this isn't a bad choice
We stay at the Sheraton Black Rock for a week each summer, and we eat at Black Rock at least once each time - just out of convenience. I have never had a good meal there. Don't know why Sheraton doesn't have a better restaurant, with thoughtfully created dishes. I can't imagine this would ever be a destination restaurant for... More
