With a very pricey menu, you would assume the food would be of high quality. The thing about assumptions is that they can be wrong. The components of the meals appear to be cheaply and carelessly thrown together, with little regard to presentation. The practices are also somewhat deceptive as we were charged for tasteless pot coffee that was being... More

My wife and I enjoyed the dinner. However, we found it to be somewhat pricey based on other local restaurants in the Ka'ananpali/Lahaina area.

We arrived yesterday and we were exhausted. We had read the reviews and knew it was overpriced but was too tired to leave the resort. The restaurant was almost empty and we asked the hostess to sit on the patio. Since it was almost empty (another hint to go elsewhere), we asked to sit somewhere we could see the ocean.... More

Excellent staff and food that accommodated our party of 14. All parts of the meal were tasty from the oysters on half shell, filet dinner, lobster tails, desserts, creme brulee, coffee ice cream. Every in our party was pleased with their meals.

We are staying at the Sheridan Maui, which is fantastic, and decided to get breakfast on the resort this morning at Black Rock. We had to wait 10 minutes to be seated, even though the restaurant was half empty, and then blinked in surprise at the $25+ breakfast menu. I opted with the buffet which was quite good, but our... We were hungry and desperate with two cranky kids. The keiki menu offered Mac and cheese. We ordered two. Got two bowls of boiled Mac with a weird white 'cheese' paint-like coating. $11 each. Each kid ate two bites. We complained and they were good enough to remove them off the bill.

I went to this restaurant with my husband while staying at the hotel. The food was just okay, and was way too expensive for the quality. I felt that my food was slightly overcooked and a bit bland. My husband felt that his meal was a bit bland as well. The service was excellent, and the view was beautiful, but... More

We got a late start that night, so we just came down from our room to eat. There was almost no one else eating here (clue ?). We ordered our food and waited.....and waited. There was only a few other diners so it's not like they the staff was stressed. We arrived an hour before closing time, but everyone working... More
