I went to a shave ice spot back in Kauai, and was kind of put off by the experience. I found myself chipping away at the shave ice wishing I had an ice pick. I was hesitant to try again, since I thought that shave ice felt like biting off a corner of a glacier. I was very surprised that... More

The first time I had shaved ice in Hawaii was in Oahu and I thought that was the best thing ever! Then on Maui I had Ululani's and OMG! It's an explosion of flavours like none other. I'll start by saying that unlike other shaved ice places, it actually tastes like shaved ice or snow where as other places it... More

A friend recommend Ululani's to us. It is by far, the best Shaved Ice we have ever had. It is now on our list of places to go back to.

Yes, the shaved ice is good, but the 45 minute wait is just crazy and you are in the sun the whole time. Having kids with us wait for that long - isn't worth the wait. We stood in line with about 10 people or less in front and there was 2 guys serving - its a slow process. Heaps... More

First ever shaved ice and it was excellent.Even though it's a 5 star review, this shouldn't be the #1 restaurant, it's shaved ice!

I used to work an activities booth on Maui in Lahaina, and behind us was Ululani's and when Ululani's was busy their line would interfere with our booth a little. The owner Dave was so generous that every dau he would give our employees one free shaved ice per shift. Consequently I got to explore their flavorings big time, I... More

Love this place, way better than any other shave ice place on Maui, Kauai, or Oahu that I've been too. Tons of flavors and the ice is super fine. Get it with the ice cream in the bottom!

We had a great time. Value and food were fabulous. This was our first Shave ice experience! Verry much like a canadian slushy but a whole bunch better. Everyone should try. All the other highly rated Tripadvisor experiences were right on! However, would highly recommend washrooms for their clients! They sent my wife across the road to use a porty... More

This is not your normal snow cone. The shaved ice is light and tasty with the many choices on favors. My favorite is root beer.
