I thought it was worthy of a second review since this was a return visit. We had breakfast one day, and returned a different day for dinner since I read they are now open for dinner a few nights a week. I almost hate having to write a review for dinner so it does not become impossible to get in... More

I almost hate to recommend this place because I don't want others to find it but this is the best place for breakfast on the island. It's upcountry in Keokeo (a tiny little hamlet) and on the road to Ulupalakua (if you're headed out to the winery). It's a real local spot and there's always a friendly crowd there…their waffles,... We were staying in a lovely B & D just down the road from Grandmas. Was hard not to keep going there for every meal. We are from Australia and try to find authentic meals and dining when we travel. Well when in Hawaii, this is it. The chili, meat loaf, salads, deserts, cookies. I could go on and on.... More

My parents recommended this place after staying in a rental down the street from here and said they ate here quite a bit and enjoyed it. While we didn't get to eat breakfast here, which I hear is divine, we did get to have a late lunch during a tour of the upcountry .I think we split a roast beef... More

We stopped here for a late breakfast, but my husband ended up ordering the tuna sandwich. He said it was the best one he has ever had! The kids decided to order one as well and they agreed. We had to go back later to get my son another one.

Bring your appetite, and a little patience, and you will be rewarded with a fine meal. The line waiting to order was the first indicator that it was a great place to eat. Was about 20-25 minute wait, and we were lucky to get a table right away in the very compact dining area. Food was delicious...and big portions, if... More

It's a must. The best cinnamon roll in the world. It's a local favorite. They treat you like a friend.

Acoustic Sundays are super charming at this upcountry breakfast nook. Their frosted banana bread is to die for! I also had the Veggie Benny on a corn muffin, YUM! If you're headed up the mountain for a day of exploring you should start off at Grandma's.

We stopped here during a bike ride and it was terrific. I'm not a Spam eater but their "Bulls eye" Breakfast made me a convert. Great coffee, outdoor seating, pastries for sale.
