We found this place completely by accident, and I am SO happy we did! We went to Chevron next door for gas, and after seeing the sunrise at Haleakala were just famished and asked for a recommendation. We were directed next door to Grandma's, and I am so happy that we were. Coffee house is a bit inaccurate, because they... More

I really wanted to stop here, this was on my list of places to go while on vacation in Maui, but when we got there (midday), they were closed. Too bad!

We stopped here after camping at Haleakala, so yes, we were hungry!! I had the simple breakfast with Portuguese sausage but I wasn't impressed. The sausage was very greasy and chewy. My husband had this gigantic plate with spam, corned beef, eggs and rice. He ate the whole thing! The coffee was just okay, tasted like we got the bottom... More

We stopped here for breakfast after the sunrise at the Haleakala and we were all so happy with our breakfast. I had a fantastic omelet. Bagels were fresh and the counter-service was terrific. Definitely worth the stop off of the beaten path after Haleakala.

We arrived at 7am and there were people lined up outside waiting for them to open! We ordered breakfast, coffee and dessert. The portions of food were enormous and came out in a timely fashion considering how busy they were! It was delicious too! Grandmas coffee cake was the best coffee cake I have ever had! Coffee was excellent too.... More

Visited Grandma's a couple of times as we were staying just up the road and really liked it. It is simply furnished inside..."rustic" is probably the best way to describe it, but the food was good and the staff were friendly. This is definitely off the main tourist route and it looked like a lot of people in there were... More

We stopped into Grandma's on the way back from watching the sunrise at Mt. Haleakala. We were not disappointed! Grandma's is a small, cozy little restaurant with good food and a nice atmosphere. You order your food at the counter and then your meal is brought to you once it's ready. My husband and I had a simple breakfast with... More

Stopped in for a coffee on the way back from the Ulapalakua ranch. OMG wild coffee roasted to perfection in a cafe o lait for $2.50. :) Bought all sorts of homemade baking treats and all were scrumptious. Went back for breakfast and it was awesome - as described by our clerk. Well worth the drive from Kihei. Good food... More
