Carrot cake - make sure you eat the carrot cake

OK - upfront, the parking is terrible and you need to use the restrooms at the nearby park. Next - after 15 or 20 visits to Grandmas, it is nothing but awesome! Tuna and avocado, meatloaf - did I mention the carrot cake. A fun, local and delicious lunch experience. If you are in Kula or... read more

We had the best breakfast in here. After the early morning Haleakala sunrise experience, we came down to this small but the best breakfast place. I had the tastiest waffle with fruits, oh i just cannot explain how yummy it was and my husbands omlette with beans was good as well. This is a definite stop in your upcountry visit.

Two many cats around but the food was really good, excellent coffee, it's a beautiful place to sit and enjoy your surroundings.

This place was recommended by a waitress at another restaurant in Kahului so we stopped here after watching sunrise on Haleakala. A little bit of a wait that morning but we weren't in a hurry. Hubby got a chili cheese omelet that was really good and we split a piece of lilikoi cheesecake. Only drawback is there isn't a public... More

Go see the sunrise at the crater then grab some amazing breakfast here. We did wait in line for awhile but the food was amazing. The coffee was pretty darn good too.

Service was s-l-o-w. We ordered a sandwich to go and waited 40 minutes from getting in line to getting a sandwich. Sorry, but IMHO it wasn't worth the wait. I'm generally a pretty even-keeled person, but this set me off. (I was polite.) If you have plenty of time, go at it. The food looked good. Sandwich was okay.

We stopped by as we were curious, unfortunately not hungry. We had just a cup of coffee but the place is one of these where you can feel and see the tradition and genius loci. However, mind the tables, some of them are a bit swaying and we spilt our cups. I bought there beautiful postcards with old Hawaiian pictures... More

We stopped by for Breakfast on our way to the crater. Usually something to look forward to, but this time very disappointing. The coffee is always good but the breakfast left a lot to be desired. My friend had asked for sourdough bread and got Pumpernikle and neither of our eggs were done the way we ordered them. Maybe they... More

Homemade breakfast that's worth waiting for, that's right, you might have to stand in line. Try the french Toast or any of the fresh baked goods...DELICIOUS!!!!

This place is a treasure and deserves all the great reviews it has. I don't need to speak of the baked goods and food. The other reviews say it all. It is the best place for breakfast or lunch in the whole upcountry area of Maui. More than that the owner family were also enjoying Sunday brunch at the corner... More
