The food was OK (a bit pricey for the quality) but the view was very nice. I know Maui isn't cheap, but for the same price, you can get a bit better at a lower altitude!

We stopped here after catching sunrise up on Haleakala since it is right on the way down. Food was excellent and I loved the coconut syrup. The grounds are gorgeous so be sure to walk through the garden. Also check out the art gallery downstairs.

I had come here a few years ago with a friend for lunch. We both had the loco moco, which was pretty average, nothing fabulous. The view, however, was spectacular. Take a walk around the garden before you leave.

Go here for the views and the convenience as relative to where you are going to or coming from (Haleakala). Prices here don't reflect the quality of the food (which is OK by the way...not BAD) but rather the fact that it's the only thing on the highway leading up to the summit and the view is To. Die. After an early trip to Haleakala we had a beautiful breakfast with a stunning view at Kula Lodge. Fantastic staff and delicious food made a great finish to this trip in Maui, we would definitely go back next time we visit!

We went to Haleakala to view the sunset and one of our concerns was making it back to Kula before all of the restaurants closed. This is the only one open until 8:30. We barely made it there by then but they gave us no problem at all. The food was delicious, we did not feel rushed and we has... More

I ordered Cesar salad with grilled mahi. The fish was not fresh as it had that over fishy taste, which is uncommon for fresh mahi. The greens were wilted, thus also not fresh. They could have done much better for the $22 price.

First the good: this place is located in a beautiful part of upcountry. The views from every table is amazing. The pizza is delicious!! Now the bad: the service was lousy. We are used to the slower pace on Maui but even keeping that in mind, the waiter didn't pay attention to us. We had to ask again and again... More

We stopped at the kula lodge for breakfast after Haleakala. wonderful view and yummy loco moco. My 2 year old loved the omelette and her coloring pages. Service was bit slow but it didn't bother us much as the views were just amazing and we were happy to take all the time we needed to breath it in.
