This restaurant is along the road which accends Mt. Haleakala. We drove up the mountain to see the sunrise and stopped on the way back down for breakfast. While I believe this may be the most I ever paid for breakfast, the food was delightful. Waffles, French toast, bacon, home fries, coffee, juices. It was one of the most satisfying... more

Kula Lodge serves a great breakfast. The eggs benedict was excellent, but the prices were quite high for breakfast. You have a great view of Maui with your meal. They have an outdoor dining area, with a wood oven on the hillside. Our service was a little slow considering that they were almost empty at the time we were there. more

My husband and I stopped here for breakfast after watching the sunrise from Haleakala Crater. It has a homey, diner-like atmosphere, with a great view. While the prices are higher than I'm used to paying for breakfast, we got a lot of food and it was pretty tasty. Nothing spectacular, but it hit the spot. I had the vegetarian eggs... more

We went there for lunch and the food was great, but pretty expensive. You must be paying for the view because it is outstanding! We sat a table in the corner and it was just gorgeous. The service was okay. The only thing that drove us crazy is they had only 2 songs on the playlist while we were there... more

We stopped here on our way down from the sunrise on Haleakala. The meals were very good though a bit on the pricey side given there was not any meat with either of our entrees. The pineapple pancakes my wife had were phenomenal with pineapple and macadamia nuts cooked into and between the pancakes. My waffle was good but nothing... more

My family of 4 came here in the early evening after our fun-filled ziplining adventure. The view from this restaurant is beautiful! This is a very pretty area of the island. The restaurants gardens are just gorgeous! It would have probably gotten a better rating had we lunched here, instead of having dinner. Lower dinner prices would make a difference.... more

As a local who's a glutton for punishment and spent too much money for mediocore food and usually poor service at the kula lodge at least 10 times, I still recommend this restraunt. They truly do have a beautiful view of the valley and west maui and it's easy to forget about the slow service and limited dinner menu. That... more

We went to the Kula Lodge after going ziplining. We requested an outside table. The tables are actually cement/adobe booths. They are set up in a stadium seating type of way so everyone gets a good view of the countryside. Very romantic atmosphere! They have a large brick outside pizza oven that cooks the best pizza I've ever had. My... more

The Kula Lodge Restaurant is a great place to stop for breakfast when your travels take you to upcountry Maui. It is only moderately overpriced so it is competitive with other dining in the area. The service is generally good, the atmosphere very pleasant and the view is fantastic. You can save quite a bit by not ordering drinks or... more
