After reading some of the reviews, I was skeptical - but we were hungry after going up for the sunrise. I was pleasantly surprised with the food, service and view (though it was a little voggy). The cost for breakfast was fine - maybe the prices for lunch or dinner are high but not for breakfast. We enjoyed the omelets... More

We have been to Maui a few times and with the late night flights out we usually try to get up to The Kula Lodge for our final meal. Not only is the location handy (about 30 min. from Kahului airport and Costco for gassing up the rental car), the view is lovely and the food and service have always... More

The food and view is great but if you like tropical foliage you will wonder why they don't charge for admission. Great pizza and gift shop.

We were warned by a guide book not to go, but we had to learn the hard way. The food was OK, just OK, and way, way, way, way overpriced. The descriptions of the food sounded OK, but the chef was timid on the portions and timid with the seasoning. I'd say keep on driving and go someplace else for... More

Very disappointed with our visit for lunch yesterday. Stopped mid afternoon after playing on the nearby mountain. The food didn't match the descriptions on the menu (different kind of onions, missing avacado on sandwich, ...). Hostess seemed inconvenienced to seat us. Waiter slow, inattentive and not friendly. He argued with us when we asked for separate bills for the four... More

We dropped by this place after exploring the Haleakala sunrise. As with many of the other reviews, this restaurant is charming and offers excellent food and service. We ordered the $10 Buttermilk Pancakes and I must say that they are the best pancakes we had in the world! They are fluffy soft, coated with crushed Macadamia nuts and.... served with... More

Visited recently after exploring nearby Haleakala Summit. This restaurant is very charming, serves tasty food, and service is great. Sat at the bar and Deborah took care of me and a visiting friend. She was so awesome and friendly. The bar has an extensive wine selection and the menu is very diverse. The restaurant has great views, indoor and outdoor... More

We were heading someplace else that was closed and were sent to the Kula Lodge by serendipity! Lunch was a bit pricy but delicious, Austin was a very friendly, attentive server and the views and grounds were spectacular. We look forward to a return visit.

This is where we stopped on our bike ride down the mountain and I am glad we stopped. Very good food and can't beat the location, they also had one of the better art galleries at this location. Even if your not on the bike ride find this place for lunch.

We were biking down Haleakala and had been told by many friends to stop at Kula Lodge. It truly is a beautiful place - wish I would've had more time to explore the grounds but our breakfast took sooooo loooong to be served that I had to scarf it down and take off. I get that we may be on... More
