This small bakery is a very cosy place. The coffee is fantastic and quiche and jam & cheese croissant delicious!!! There is only one person attending and it gets full so it might take a while to get your stuff but be patient, it is worth.

Service can be a little slow but hands down the best eclairs I've ever had! If you're upcountry visiting the crater or some of the farms, this is a great place to stop in for a snack.

If you are craving some good French pastries --- this is a great find in Upcountry Maui. Can't wait to try the restaurant for a meal when I have visitors come over!

Local Upcountry Maui residents flock here when they want to get their fill of delicious French pastries, cappuccinos, and crepes. Owned and operated by a transplanted Frenchman, La Provence is famous for its sinfully delicious sticky buns, flaky croissants (especially the almond ones!), quiches, and three-fruit scones. Be aware that if you want the sticky buns, especially on a weekend,... More

While exploring Maui my fiancé spotted a small sign for this restaurant, so we stopped to check it out. This is a really cozy restaurant with great ambiance. Everyone that worked at the restaurant had French accents, which is a plus. We ordered a fish sandwich and a spinach and crab crepe. My fiancé was ecstatic about the bread on... More

The owner of this place should not be let anywhere near his customers. He has poor communication skills and manners.

We looked at the restaurant's website and drove 30 minutes only to find that the restaurant was closed (at 1:30 in the afternoon). Beware of the website information. Not only were the times wrong, the menu online is not the menu that was on display at the restaurant. The menu at the restaurant is much more limited and plain. Based... More

I used to go there often, have luncheon parties there, order birthday cakes, etc. but eventually we all got tired of the owner's "attitude", the very slow and inept service, and the food that might or might not be tasty. (But the pastries are divine! Always!) If you're in a hurry, give this place a definite "pass". The customer does... More

La Provence has become an upcountry tradition for us whenever we return to Maui. We love this little place. Food is fantastic! Our spinach, tomato and goat cheese quiche was superb. Our fruit scone was oh my goodness great. There was a line just out the door and we waited patiently for only about 5 minutes. The young lady taking... More

I have been faithful to La Provence over the years and love this place. Today, not so much. The food is good, but the service, completely unbelievable. I'm in food service and the treatment today was awful. After waiting 15 minutes to be seated (the waitress kept saying she'd be back and then ignored me the rest of the time),... More
