Went there Year, 2013, and raved to all that would listen. Great fish and chips. This year I did takeout and thought it was just so so. The deep fried fish, Ono, was fresh but the batter was really lacking, probably old, making it soggy not crispy. I'll try it again to see if was a one time thing and... More

A couple blocks off the beaten path (read: not on S Kihei Rd), but it was a great find. Hal fish market, half to-go fast food, the food here was fresh, tasty, and not terribly expensive. Would recommend to anyone as a great place to get lunch on your way to the beach!

My husband likes their seafood soup the best. He goes there at least once a week. I like the Fish and Chips.

First, if you are looking for the best service, this aint it. They are good, but this is a fish market that cooks up great fish. I opted for the fresh Mahi Mahi fish and chips. My wife had the Ahi fresh fish taco. First the tacos. They were 9/10 very good. There are a couple of other places locally... More

The question is asked, "Is this one of the best meal you've ever had in a restaurant?" and our answer is "yes, for the money." It's a hole in the wall place that has great food, personable staff, and great prices. We walked over a mile to get there on our last day as we liked it so much. We... More

Just had lunch here...fantastic...thought I would comment while I still had stars in my eyes..seafood chowder excellent and tasty. Fish taco did not lack for anything. Took home fresh Ono from the fish counter for tonight's dinner. Unlike most places in Maui....the two young ladies at the front counter were in great spirits and happy to be working and waiting... We often hit Eskimo Candy after a morning at the beach. We usually order one of their fish combo plates. All the batter fired fish, shrimp, calamari, etc. are great. Their fries are really good and slaw too, though they could be more generous with the latter. Consistent quality and reasonable prices (remember, you are on island). Friendly service is... More

Stopped by for lunch today. Only a few spots for parking, but that didn't deter folks. We had the poke bowl and the fish tacos. The poke bowl was good ( four different flavors) but the fish was dry. Still good food, but not great food. However, give it a try before deciding on a few sentence review. Very friendly... More

We always like to ask local people where they like to eat in town. I was at the Maui Dive Store and asked the friendly clerk where good local food was. She recommended the Eskimo Candy not far from there. She always ordered the kahuli chicken but said most locals liked the poke bowls. We went for lunch and sure... More

poke here is quite fresh, though there is not much selection of fish for poke except for ahi tuna. The fried items are ok, but nothing to waste your poke appetite for.
