I live here on Maui & been eating at Amigos since it was the small diner on Lipoa. The owner, Jesus, prides himself on providing excellent food at great prices. I dined there again Monday night with a friend visiting from California & we both felt that it was a great experience. I had the chicken enchiladas with the green... More

We stopped in for happy hour. I've only eaten at their Kahului location and found a delish beef burrito similar in taste to the defunct Taco Lei's version, which I've been searching high and low for. ATMOSPHERE: New-looking, small space in Azeka Marketplace. High ceilings, lots of windows, good-sized bar area. BEVERAGE: Modello Negra - For happy hour, the 20-oz.... More

New on Maui & live close by so we figured it would be a good date night place, couldn't be further from the truth. The server was nice & friendly, but the service was so so. She forgot my wife's coffee, but when she did finally bring it after the 3rd request she didn't charge us for it. She blew... More

On our list visit to Maui we were not able to try Amigos so we wanted to be sure to visit on this trip. We walked into the restaurant for lunch and the place looked very dirty. Tables had not been bussed, food on the floor, and a general dismal appearance prompted us to immediately walk out the door. If... More

It was very meh. My dish had more cheese than meat, and our apps and main course arrived at the same time. Surely there must be better Mexican around. Even with a coupon for half off one of the main courses, I'm not sure it was worth it.

Perfect for vegetarians. I recommend the veggie tamales and chill rellenos. We loved staying in our unit and watching the sunset with a few beers, so we opted for home delivery. For a few extra dollars we could eat great mexican food as the sky changed colours and lit up Lahaina.

Bottom line: I won't return and wouldn't recommend it. We stopped for breakfast. Due to hunger, I overlooked the dirty menus, greasy table, and general lack of cleanliness, hoping for a good Mexican treat. Wrong. I am sure the food was hot, just not when we got it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not calling the staff lazy. The two... More

We're from Texas AND we're Mexican and we definitely approve the Amigos on Kihei. Breakfast and lunch were both authentic. Service was great also. The restaurant is a bit small but we felt it was cozy and enjoyed our visit. The margaritas were delicious, the coffee a bit pricey. All in all we would definitely return.

Came here for the Happy Hour. Chips and salsa okay. Margaritas decent flavor but very weak in alcohol content. Did not bother to stay for a second one. Small place with not much ambiance. Better off picking up something from the market so you know what you are getting....so we did. That took the fun out of it.

Great, attentive bartender. Good food, 2 TV's behind the bar with sports! How can you go wrong! I'm a Vegan and they have options here.
