By far the best sushi my husband and I have every had the fortune of eating. Koisi is a little hole-in-the-wall at the corner of a strip mall and the ambiance is utilitarian at best. However, once you sit down, say hello to the owner/sushi master and put in our order all of that becomes irrelevant. We asked the owner... More

The BEST sushi - that's why you are here. Forget the atmosphere, because this is a dive place in a divey strip mall. It is difficult to find so go to the complete end of the shops and walk in the center to find the place. Be sure to book in advance as they will not accept walk-ins. Also, be... More

We saw this place on Tripadvisor and made the reservation a couple of weeks ahead. This is a small 16 seater in a local shopping mall and very unassuming. The owner/chef was really nice and greeted us right away. The waitress, we assume was his wife, was a little overwhelmed when we were first seated. We all ordered the chef's... More

Sushi is fresh and portions are average. If you are a big eater then you will want to double your orders. Really small and you will definitely need reservations at least a week in advance. Don't expect to just be able to walk in and get served. Not ideal for large parties.

Love this little restaurant!!!! I tried to make a reservation on Tuesday for a Friday seating, but unfortunately they were all booked all the way until the following Wednesday. We were not staying in Maui for that long... My husband and I still wanted to try our luck and walked in on Friday night...all seats were occupied, but the waitress... More

Even after reading all the positive reviews, we were sceptical to have sushi in a hole in the wall restaurant like Koiso, especially after our trip to Japan. We were blown away by this restaurant. Just by walking in, we felt transported back to Japan with the decor and the japanese-style welcome. The restaurant is owned by a Japanese couple... More

This is our favorite Sushi restaurant on Maui. It's small and only holds about 16 customers. That makes it hard to get a reservation. So please stay away. The fish is so fresh. The owner takes great pride in what he does. The unagi is to die for as is just about everything. Can't wait till we can find another... More

If you are a fan, this was some of the best sushi and sashimi I have ever had. Omakse came with a 10 piece nigiri sushi plate that included 3 or 4 kinds of tuna, the best uni I have ever had (I am really picky when it comes to uni), anago, flounder, ebi, and more. It was $45/person for... More
