This was recommended by the concierge at the condo we stayed in and it was very good. It is just a very relaxed no frills place to eat with great local food.

We tired the Hawaiian plate, which was delicious and had original flavours we hadn't tried before. And our one combo plate was plenty of food for both of us so it was good value. It was nice for my first visit to Hawaii. The service was great, the waitress even taught us how to eat the parts of the meal... More

Awesome place for plate lunch. Liked this much better than Aloha Plate Lunch. Also the liquor store next door has great prices on alcohol.

This is a great place for a quickie lunch or dinner, especially for take out. Portions are large and ample.

Wanted to try the Hawaiian mixed plate so we stopped in to Da Kitchen. It’s take-out style but you can sit inside. We got the Kahlua pork, teriyaki chicken and macaroni salad. The macaroni salad was OK but the pork and chicken were very salty. Prices seemed a little high but the portions were fairly ample but a lot of... More

Had Big Bruddah takeaway with Kalua Pig and chicken katsu. Kalua pig was tasty but very salty and chicken katsu was beautifully breaded but bland in comparison. Mac/potato salad was the best part. Would eat a whole plate of that if I could. Overall solid food but wouldn't die to go back again.

It was recommended and we went there though the looks of it was not that great. The food was good for a fast food joint. I liked it but wouldn't come back. Coffee was lousy

So the Kihei location is the Express location, and it's pretty much take out Hawaiian food (think Loco Moco's kalua pork, plate lunches, and macadamia nut pie). Great portions for the price. If you're looking for good food to go and don't want to deal with the hassle of a restaurant, hit this place!

We have been missing Da Kitchen in Honolulu since they closed, so we were very much looking forward to our visit in Maui and to eat at Da Kitchen again. Da Kitchen in Kihei is a take out restaurant, but it also is possible to eat the "take outs" at the restaurant. They have a smaller selection in Kihei than... More
