I am hesitant to write this review, knowing that it may make my wait time even longer than it usually is. But, it is true, this is the absolute best sushi on Maui. I have eaten a LOT of sushi, including in Japan, and Sushi Paradise is my favorite. Yeah yeah theres a long wait, and yes it appears to... More

This is a small storefront in a strip mall, but don't let that deter you. This a one man show done with care and the finest quality fresh fish. We will be back! You must have reservations, and a willingness to wait up to an hour to get your sushi.

The spanish mackerel and spicy scallop roll were new to us and delicious. You need to make a reservation but don't plan on eating soon. The chef takes his time. Get some sake or beer and relax. The atmosphere is strip mall but the food is delicious and fresh. The service is, well, gruff at times but go with the... More

Sushi chef/owner crafts 5 star sushi, on par with Masa in NYC. Great value for the money. No ambience, except great experience watching master sushi chef crafting his food before your eyes!

Why am I doing this? I do not want to review a restaurant that is THIS GOOD! Watanabe-san rules this spot with his wife, and makes the best sushi in Hawaii. You gotta make reservations, you gotta wait: so shut up! Been around the world a few times, never had sushi this good although I did NOT eat at Jiro's... More

I know a lot of people who have eaten here, or tried to eat here complain about not getting a table, or long waits. They would be correct in their assessment, however I'm going to tell you its worth the wait. The key is to make a reservation, preferably one for right when they open. People don't realize that when... More

I waited for a hour for this place to open at 6pm. When I went in I was told I would have to wait another 45 minuites for Sushi. I left and went next door to Anthonys. That turned out to be a good thing.

Me and my husband loved this place. The sushi is excellent, the chef and his wife are very very nice people. To sit at the bar gives you the opportunity to talk with other people, that for me is a very nice thing. Maybe you will have to wait a little for the sushi, but it really worth. The place... More

Great sushi, but old style. No fufu rolls, just plain good ole nigiri sushi and classic rolls. Pricey but worth it.

Beautiful dishes, the owner himself prepares your plates. Simple but delicious, fresh, authentic Japanese cuisine.
