They tell you from the start that the service is slow because there is only one sushi chef. The waitress was friendly and as efficient as she could be. There aren't many tables but you definitely have to wait for people who came in before you to be served, before you get anything but drinks and edamame. She told us... More

Been waiting 5 years to go back to this place. Watching meals created like works of art is part of the experience. Ordered the chef's special sashimi - 6 or 7 different fish samples - the only one we didn't rave over was the herring. Restaurant is closed for 2 weeks for their holidays, so we will have to wait... The service was good, the food even better. I really liked the Udon soup, the miso soup and the rolls. This place had the best sushi in Maui.

Have tried lots of other sushi restaurants in Hawaii but none any better Sushi Paradise. A little quirky but after a half dozen visits they have never been disappointed with the quality of the fish and presentation. Key is to make a reservation and arrive 15-20 minutes prior to their opening at 6pm. Customers are served in the order they... More

May be you could think I'm drunk but this restaurant is worth the trip to Maui. Watch the chef at work means to attend a show. The place is very simple and located close to parking but with what you eat seems to be in front of pacific

busy little place, but only one sushi chef. Enjoyed mido soup, salomn skin salad was very good with a little spicy added. Shrimp tempura roll, and spicy scallop roll, delicious. could have used a refill on our tea.

Food was excellent and service friendly: try the seafood custard. Be sure to make reservations because this is a very small restaurant.

It is a small simple calm sushi restaurant in a shopping mall and the sushi and sashimi (fresh fish) was to die for. It is fun to find a chef that cares about every meal he serves. It is made to order so it takes a while. The waitress (one for the small restaurant) was extremely nice and efficient. Reservations... More

Nothing out of the ordinary for us. We're from Seattle, so we are pretty spoiled with good sushi. Definitely an upgrade from conveyor belt places...the sushi chef took pride in his work which was nice to see, but like most things Maui...it was spendy.
