This was one of the highlights of our trip to Maui - great ambiance (casual beach atmosphere) and one of the best steaks I have had in a while. Although they had a crisis in that one of their chefs did not show that evening, the waiter was very apologetic and the manager volunteered to give us a discount on... more

Dinner at Stella Blues was close to perfection, food was excellent and the service the same. We each had a fresh catch of Mahi Mahi in Macadamia nut crust with mashed purple sweet potatoes and vegetables. Flavor and textures needed no improvement. Heidi was out server and she was very friendly, particularly unobtrusive during the meal and yet kept the... more

I have eaten breakfast and lunch here dozens of times over the years. The food is generally good -- typical American comfort food. Prices are reasonable when compared to the hotels and resorts, but prices for breakfast and lunch items are about 20% high given the location and pricing points for the competition. Still, breakfast options in Kihei town are... more

We ate here for breakfast twice during our trip to Maui (October 2008). I had Banana Macadamia Pancakes one time and French Toast another time. Both were great!! My husband had a BYO Omelette and the Quick Start ... both times with Portuguese Sausage. This was one of our favorite places to eat. Everything was clean and simple. If we... more

Not too expensive, good food, and a fun place to go. They have some really yummy breakfast items, and lunch is good too. We just got back from there for lunch and I had the pesto turkey melt with avocado. My lady had the cobb salad wrap (huge portion so we have some left overs.) Also, the have live music... more

We ate dinner here several nights during our trip and found the food great. We sat in the bar a couple of nights and out on the patio another time. It's a large restaurant with lots of seating. Their Mai Tai's are the best on the island! The only drawback is that if you arrive during happy hour, you can... more

My husband was infatuated with this restaurant because the name is from a Grateful Dead song. This was by far the most expensive meal we have had yet on vacation. The server had a bunch of tables and did not seem to give any of them good service. I had the NY steak and it was pretty boring. He had... more

We enjoyed a relaxing dinner on our fourth night in Kihei and were pleasantly surprised after reading so-so reviews. This is not a high-end, fancy restaurant but a welcoming place with a solid menu. We had the hummus as an appetizer (which was delicious) and I had the steak and my husband had the ribs (both of which we recommend).... more

We had breakfast first week of March 2009. The Banana Macadamia Nut pancakes were recommended in a travel mag. Food was ok - nothing special. We drove from Wailea and would probably not do it again, many other really good restaurants in the area. more

I have eaten at Stella Blues twice, the second time Mar. 7, 2009. Like diners, the venue is modest. It is basically part of a strip mall, and it is noisy. There are no cloth table cloths, just the basics. That said my wife and I were surprised at the small menu. Although a range of selections are covered, there... more
