Husband and I moved to Maui July 2014 and found Blue Moon Café the first week. Now we visit at least every 2 weeks for the friendly and prompt service with good home cooked food. The second visit I ordered a fish item and found the taste and smell was different. Finally, I realized it was deliciously fresh and not... More

We happened upon this gem in an unlikely shopping area. The service was excellent and the food was quite tasty. We ordered a Philly Cheesesteak and a Chicken mixed plate. Servings were VERY generous.

Wednesday morning breakfast spot, arrived at 9:15, table of seven. Only two other couples in restaurant, ordered our food, but didn't eat until 10. Waitress was polite, only one cook in the back. Food was expensive and very generic. Pancakes were not worth eating, Hawaiian eggs Benedict was probably the eat thing ordered. Not worth a visit.

Went for breakfast on a friday morning. We had the Portuguese sausage omelette and the petite breakfast. The pancakes were amazing. Definitely get the coconut syrup. We will probably go back one more time before the end of our trip.

We ate breakfast here three days in a row (out of our short, four day trip). Certainly nothing fancy, but good food! Eggs, Bacon and Potatoes were cooked to perfection. Price is low compared to other places in Maui. The waitresses were all really friendly. Highly recommended for a good, reasonable breakfast.

This is a basic restaurant that appears to be frequented by the locals. No fancy frills, just good traditional breakfast food. The waitress was very helpful and accommodating. Friendly service. Clean place. Tired of inflated Maui prices? Try this little gem.

The Blue Moon Cafe' is one of my very favorite restaurants on Maui. It is hidden away above the Piilani Hwy. in Kihei, behind the Tesoro gas station; and it is a real treasure. The service is always good and the food is always excellent! The owner, Ken, and/or his sister, Vanessa, are always on site to make sure that... More

I stopped for lunch after checking out some shops in the same complex. Very much local dinner feel . seat yourself . waitress pleasant . Ordered Catch of the day Fish Burger. It was less than average , came on a small amount of wilted lettuce , Mustard and Mao no fries . Quite a lot of uncooked onion .

TA Reviews have confused the Blue Moon Cafe with Stella Blues which closed it's doors end of April. The Blue Moon Cafe is located just off the Pi-ilani Highway in a small shopping center adjacent to the Maui Clothing Company's outlet store. As previous regular Stella Blue's patrons, we hunted for a reasonable breakfast locale, and have enjoyed three breakfasts... More
