Established in 2008. Taqueria Cruz is a fourth & fifth generation family-owned and operated business which was first established by our great-grandparents in the beautiful Wine Country of the Napa Valley. Our family got into the restaurant business in 1951, building a warm and successful eatery from the ground up, and we are willing to bet that they never imagined all of their hard work and love for cooking would one day reach beyond the vineyards and blossom on the beautiful island of Maui. We are very proud of our family history as well as our culture, and we know you will taste the love in our food. So please come and let us share with you what they have shared with us. From our family to yours, the love and aloha of Taqueria Cruz.

Bathing suit friendly

Just ate there for lunch with two friends after going to Kam 3. Easy, quick, bathing suit friendly, great food and most importantly, 22$ for the three of us. Love it!~

Very laid back, with live music on Tuesday's. Local husband and wife owners that are the cooks, and waiters! Place your order, go sit down, drink your favorite beverage (its BYOB) !! Non alcoholic beverages are available. I can't explain how AWESOME the food is.... you just need to go eat there!

Had the blackened fish tacos and they were ok. Nothing to get excited about. We come from Northern California where Mexican food is outstanding so I expected to be underwhelmed and I was. Very friendly service which I always appreciate. Bring your own alcohol of choice. None served at the restaurant.

Well, 4 stars: for the price, you won't find better food. You might slightly sweat if you wear pants, because you eat outside and you are in Hawaii (but you can order to go), therefore short and thin t-shirt recommended (but why eating inside if you visit Hawaii, and want a quick and good lunch before to visit or to... I think we were taken back by this place. We expected a restaurant but it is a little hole in the wall and you order your food and find a table outside and it arrives with plastic utensils The food was good but I wouldn't go back again. Not our cup of tea

So coming from Texas we have awesome Mexican food pretty much on every corner. I know it seems silly to go to Hawaii and eat Mexican (we only did it once!) but two whole weeks without it is hard to take, so we decided to give this a try and I'm so glad we did. We ordered chicken, beef and... More

We were in Kihei for Cinco de Mayo and needed some Mexican food! We stumbled upon this place and loved the atmosphere and tasty food. It's BYOB and you sit outside at picnic type tables. There was a musician playing the night we were there and it was just a cool vibe. The chips and salsa were really good and... More

I built my own burrito with the blackened fish. The flavor was good. I actually enjoyed mine. My husband did the same thing only he had the pulled pork. We both went without tortillas and went for extra lettuce. His plate was awful. It looked soupy. It didn't have good flavor. The serving size wasn't huge. I would say it... More
