Great place tucked behind other restaurants, while still offering a great view of the ocean. The menu was a bit more up-scale than most traditional breakfast offerings, but the atmosphere was still super casual and welcoming. Food was excellent and the service was good. I'd definitely return for breakfast, and would have liked to have tried dinner there, too.

Nice people and great food. We shared the Whale (Ham covered with hashbrowns, and egg and smothered with brown gravey) and Banana Bread French Toast! Yummy.

After walking past this venue several years we wandered in to find great food, a personable chef who loves what he does and prices to good to believe. To top it off, although they do not have a liquor license a $5 corkage fee lets you BYOB or wine and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

awesome place to have dinner if you are visiting in Maui.. Most of the restaurants have really jacked up prices but 808 Bistro is not one of them. Their prices are awesome, great atmosphere and staff are really laid back and welcoming. I would recommend the fetucinne with sundried tomatos and add the mahi mahi.. deeeelicious!

We went for breakfast on our visit to Maui (we are staying at the Fairmont and it was a five minute drive to the bistro). All breakfasts where excellent, and at the recommendation of our server (but we believe was the owner) we ordered an extra dish of the banana bread French toast to share. It was truly delicious and... More

Wife and I went here three times for breakfast and it was very good. Let's be real, it wasn't great, unbelievable, but we definitely enjoyed the food, casual atmosphere and the service, from both male and female servers. I tried something different everyday, wife got scrambled eggs, bacon, toast everyday. I liked the day I got one piece of banana... More

This restaurant is a bit odd in it's setting in the back of a strip center, but there is a portion of the restaurant where you can actually get a view of the ocean across the street. We were lucky enough to dine at one of those tables. Our dinner was excellent. My husband had the short ribs and I... More

Really good food and service. Friendly and perhaps one of the nicest meals we had in Maui. The restaurant atmosphere had a casual vibe to it - you could dress up and make an evening of it, or dress down and chill out. Fish of the day was amazing, really fresh and delicately cooked. My husband and son liked the... More

I had the whale pie, which contains no actual whale, but is ham, cheese and hash browns smothered in a salty beef gravy. Not for everyone but I loved it. Everything was perfect except our waitress disappeared for 20 minutes when it was time to bring the check. Surprisingly reasonably priced breakfast menu.

We went here initially because Kihei Caffe was closed (very good also) and were pleasantly surprised. Nice covered patio for eating, the food selection was very good, some of the selections were vegetarian while others were straight up fill you up meat a palooza breakfast. The french toast was incredible! The wait staff was very accommodating to our 1 1/2... More
