the freshest fish on the island by far.

We had fish and chips. When it was served we had lots of french fries and 2 massive pieces of fish. One was Mahi Mahi and the other was Ono. I swapped my Mahi Mahi for my husbands Ono but had to give it back to him as I couldn't manage 2 pieces of fish, they were so big. The... read more

I love fish tacos. I ate fish tacos at four different restaurants in Maui and none compared to Coconut's. They are large and filling. They double layer the corn tortillas to prevent any sogginess. Plus they are gluten free which is great when you travel with a celiac. They have a kids menu also.

We eat here every year when we come to Maui on vacation. It is a busy place but the plentiful staff makes sure everyone is happy and looked after. There is seating inside and out. They have a huge menu but we love the fish tacos So much, we have only tried them and the fried shrimp. Once you have... More

Fish and chips with Ono and Mahi Mahi is very unique, but unfortunately they were both slightly overcooked. Additionally the batter was thicker than necessary. Although the additional crunch was nice, it hid the texture of the fish. Fish tacos had an abundance of fresh toppings, but the fish was overcooked and not at all delectable. Very good, but not... Great place for fresh fish & chips. Great friendly service. If in Maui, recommend this as a stop during your beach day or later evening visit.

Wow. Loved the atmosphere of this place, as well as the food. My husband and I had the fish tacos . . . of which you get two per order. They are huge, messy, and wonderful. (So gets some extra napkins and a fork.) Our kids ordered fish and chips and calamari and chips. Everyone loved their food. It is... More

We went to Coconuts on our stay in Kihei at the beginning on March. We heard all the hype of this place at our condo that we said we have to go try it out to see. The place is always packed but we still got our food fairly quickly. We got the chicken tacos and they were excellent. Maui... More

My mouth is watering as I think about the fish tacos here. We visited in November and I have had cravings for these in the months since being home! They are incredibly fresh and the flavor profiles are insane. The prices also can't be beat. It's very casual and really hits the spot for lunch after laying in the sun... More

This has become our go to spot for our first night in Maui. You know the food is go when you see plenty of locals eating here. This is casual dining, We shared a table with another couple and met some new friends.
