Good meal but not the best

We had many people rave about this place. It wasn't horrible but wasn't the best. I found the menu to be like many other places in the area. The Maui onion soup was awesome. Salty but delicious.

We had heard about this restaurant before we even left Saskatchewan, and again from our cabbie when we arrived in Maui. The food and service were exceptional! Even though we liked to try other food establishments, we had to return - it was a completely wonderful experience! :)

The food was just unbelievable, more than you expect when you visit the US. The service was excellent and the drinks well priced and tasty. Definitely worth a visit

This was always one of my favorites, and we would come every year. This year we brought friends, and it was a huge disappointment. From the stuffy waiter to the unaccommodating service to the mediocre food - after 8 years of visits, I won't be going back. O'Lei used to have this amazing fettuccine dish. I tried to order it,... Went for a late dinner here and so glad we did! Place was packed but they fit us in even though we didn't have a reservation. Really fun atmosphere and nice decor with an open kitchen. Our meals were just fantastic and fairly priced. Highly recommend!

seafood tower - some stuff was hot and some was room temp - if you can't do this correctly, then don't offer it at all . . . although they only offer this on the weekends and honestly I would never order it again anyway - chewy calamari besides it wasn't hot sushi was okay nothing exciting about their fish... We were back in Maui in February and returned to Cafe O'Lei for both lunch and dinner. One of our favorite restaurants in Maui. At lunch they serve a dailey plate lunch for $7.95 and have a special for $11.95. The food was incredible. We had the fresh fish served over rice - Wow ! We went back for dinner... More

My family went to Cafe Ole while vacationing in Kihei this February - we were a party of six therefore were required to pay 20% gratuity. What a joke. The service was embarrassing and we will never return. We actually asked to not pay the mandatory gratuity. Seems as though when the waiter knows the tip is automatic, the service... More

In crowded Kihei, this place is worth the wait. Try the chicken spinach salad and the fish. Portions are large and its worth the wait. Very tasty!

Our meal, drinks, and service were all spectacular! We were seated expeditiously in a quaint comfortable dining room with great views of the island. Our pleasant server was quick to greet and get us drinks. All the dishes served were delicious to say the least. Pricing was not cheap, but affordable. An excellent night out and we will be sure...
