We came into this place based on the reviews and sick of paying $28 for a sad hamburger at the resorts and it delivered. Service was good and the food was better. The braised short ribs were amazing and enough for two if you get a little app.

We have been looking for a place on Maui that served French Onion Soup with Maui Onioms and we found it. Great service and great food. Soft Shell Crab rolls were great as well. Great atmosphere.

The service was excellent. The French Onion soup was the best I have ever eaten. We had Prime Rib and the fish of the day, both were very good. It is located in a strip mall so can't say much for the outdoor atmosphere but the ambiance in the restaurant itself was very pleasant.

Never miss a great bargain in Kihei and Cafe O'Lei is the place to check out. Affordable, good food and friendly service. Sometimes a bit crowdy and noisy, but worth waiting and chill out.

Very good food at a good price. The sushi bar was awesome. Also have an excellent menu of fresh seafood.

Maui can be an expensive place to eat out so finding a restaurant with good prices was a bonus. Cafe O'Lei is on the second floor of a strip mall - not all that attention grabbing from the outside but very nicely decorated on the inside. There is enough space between tables that you don't feel crowded. The service was... More

We had lunch here on our vacation. It was recommended by the condo owners where we were staying. Nice place but our food was mediocre. I had a Caesar salad with fish and the lettuce was very wilted. Sad, food 101, crisp lettuce! No it was not from the hot fish, granddaughter also had salad and it was wilted lettuce.... More

We never would have stopped at this place based on the outside appearance but once reading others reviews we new we had to try it out. This was our best meal yet on Maui! We had crab cakes to start, I had the mango mauihito to drink. Then my husband had the ahi ahi and I had the pork roast.... More

My husband were enjoying Maui on our honeymoon. We stayed at the Four Seasons in Wailea and were enjoying $200 meals and top-notch service. We stopped here after reading the reviews online and after all the gourmet experiences, we felt this topped all! For twenty-somethings, it was much easier on our wallet, but honestly the taste and quality of our... More

Cafe O'lei has a great vibe. The meat and fish were perfectly prepared, especially the prime rib and the mahi mahi. On our first visit, we sat near the front in an area that felt like the dining room on the Orient Express. Second trip we were on the open floor near the back which was also nice.
