Fun, festive, boisterous atmosphere

This is NOT for an intimate date night or a quiet dinner with your spouse. The atmosphere, decor, and service are all upscale, but the noise level is the highest we experienced on our 2 week trip. Just OK. It's a big place and has to keep filling the seats so doesn't show great originality. So, to stay unoriginal I had a perfectly acceptable prime rib. I had better meals, but on many trips I would have been happy to find anywhere this acceptable.

You really should book in advance... So we got four stools at the sushi bar and great local company. I've never had sushi like this before. A tuna roll, battered and fried.. Really? The crab cakes were good, the coconut/panko shrimps good. The rest - forgettable. And our waiter was too busy. Everyone says this place is da deal -... More

Super busy place! We walked in and heard everyone else coming in on reservations and thought uh-oh....but we were able to sit up at the bar and order dinner. Friendly staff, great drinks and fabulous food. We will be back!

Had lunch here twice during our stay in Kihei. Both times we had the mahi mahi special which was good, but would have been delicious if it had been served hot. We didn't complain (not that anyone checked in with us) b/c we were hungry. A shame that both times, we were served cold food. Our kids liked the pizza... More

The restaurant was busy and perhaps that was part of the problem. We went there because it was recommended for the Onion soup. The soup was salty and thus I would say it was ok. The Mai Tai my wife has was so sweet she could not drink it so she sent it back. The Caesar salad was good and... More

My husband got violently ill after eating his ahi tuna. It did smell funny when he got it, and asked for the waitress to see if it was okay. Based on all the great reviews of this place, we continued to eat. My flat bread pizza was soggy from the balsamic vinegar that it was doused in. Never will we... More

Our group included vegetarians, meat eaters, and several health-conscious people and we all found something good to eat. The seafood is the best, always fresh and with imaginative preparations. Good service as well.

We have been coming to this place every year we vacation on Maui. And, like the other 2 times we have been there over the last 4 years, we had another great lunch. I had the Macademia nut crusted chicken breast sandwich, and my wife had the curry chicken salad. The portions were large and the food very good. The... More
