Best sandwich in Kona

I eat here all the time and always get the Spicy Lemongrass Tofu Sandwich on French Rolls: Baked fresh every day: Crispy outside, soft middle. Daikon radish, cucumber, cilantro and a bit of spice top it off. Friendly staff and fast service.

Bought sandwiches to go prior to boarding a flight. They were considerate by cutting the sandwich in half and wrapping it in aluminum foil.

We were at the Maui Market place waiting to pick up our dogs from their grooming appointment. So we stopped in for lunch at the food court. It was not really busy but the lines were long for Mexican and Chinese/local plate lunch outlets so we decided to have lunch at Ba Le's. My husband ordered a Veggie sandwich and... More

My daughter found this restaurant based on the Yelp reviews. They secured enough support to get a Yelp sticker on their front door. They even had a Zagat rating! We were not disappointed. My wife and I shared the assorted meats on dry noodles (if my memory is correct, it was #11 on the menu). The meats (chicken, shrimp, pork... More

We wanted a quick lunch, so we stopped by Ba-Le in the food court. Wow, is it ever noisy in there. The people weren't loud, but every noise just seemed to echo back off the ceiling. Anyway, the food was very good. I had the tuna sandwich, which was huge. Lots of tuna, with shredded cabbage and carrots, on a... More

Ordered the tofu fresh rolls with peanut sauce. I could not identify tofu in my wrap, or anything really. The peanut sauce is like congealed in the center (cannot dip). The whole thing is awful! Maybe their other food is good....but this dish is a fail.

We have eaten at all three Ba-Le locations on Maui...Kihei, Kahului, and Wailuku. The food is always fresh and delicious, the service quick, and the amount generousI I love the Lemongrass Chicken sandwich on fresh rolls. The Pho is incredible no matter which one we choose. Two weeks ago at the Kahului location we enjoyed bowls of fragrant broth with... More

I've eaten here many times. From sandwiches to win ton soup. The service is fast, the good is prepared when ordered, comes out to its proper temperature. Fresh veggies and I usually take half my order home. It's in a food court, and I've met nice folks to share the table with. Worth a stop.

I am a self diagnosed bahn mi (Vietnamese roll) addict... In my home town I'm not averse to driving at least half an hour for Vietnamese rolls that are not even in the same league as these!! Service is fast and furious, with so many people wanting these delicious goodies, order your stuff and move on! I had a char... More

This little gem is hidden away in the food court of the Lahaina Cannery Mall and is genuine unpretentious Vietnamese food. We had the Pho meal and split it between the two of us - It was plenty for us and very good food with friendly staff. We had the bonus of eating there on a Sunday early afternoon when... More
