Description: Bistro Casanova is located at the ground floor of the Kahului office...
Bistro Casanova is located at the ground floor of the Kahului office building, a four stories property across the street from Kahului beach, just one mile from Kahului airport. Your GPS device will probably lead you to the large parking space behind the building. You can gain entrance to the Restaurant both from Kaahumanu Avenue, where a large awning with the sign Bistro Casanova will guide you from the parking stalls to the front door, and from Lono Avenue, where a large sign shows the entrance from its main address: 33 Lono Avenue. In both cases, you'll have no problem in finding parking, day or night time. See you inside, where you'll be able to choose a table in the air conditioned dining rooms or "al fresco", in the lanai.

Enticing Menu with a Mediterranean Flair

We have been visiting Maui for nearly 25 years and still somehow always find something new to share as far as dinning out on this beautiful island. This is not a restaurant that I would chose to go for dining. I've never been impressed with any food that I've ordered. I do go there to meet friends at the bar. The Happy Hour is 3-6 and has wine & mojito carafes for $5. There's a simple tapa menu that you could get by on, but nothing to... More

We were there few days ago. We had a reservation for 7.30 pm but we arrived 15 min earlier. The restaurant was almost empty but we had to wait 20 min to be seated. We ordered "Rigatoni Carbonara" and a File Mignon. The pasta came after 55 min and it was a melting of undistinguished flavors with pepper on top... More

Hostess did not acknowledge us. Went past us to another couple. When I mentioned that we did not have reservation what would be the wait.... She replied with a snide remark...8 o'clock. It was only 5. This after she argued with another party who were displaced and made to sit outside. We turned around and left.

Dear Mr. bfarrel, I am sorry you were not able to enjoy Bistro Casanova's food on your recent visit. During the busy Christmas season most of Maui's successful restaurants require a reservation to accommodate diners. On the date you came at Bistro, there was a show from a national celebrity at the nearby Maui Arts and Cultural Center. Bistro Casanova... More

This restaurant may be good for locals but this is mediocre Italian food at best. The marinara sauce tasted a little like it came straight from a can and the Carbonara had no flavor at all. Being Italian, I take my Italian food seriously and this place just doesn't measure up.

I am sorry that you did not enjoy your food at Bistro Casanova. Being an Italian myself, I know how disappointing it may be to be served mediocre pastas. While mistakes in execution may always happen, especially in this very very busy Christmas season, I want to reassure that our Marinara sauce is made daily from scratch, using Pomodori di... More

We were looking for a restaurant close to the airport, and the family was keen on pasta, so this restaurant turned out to be a great fit. It was a bit tricky to find in the dark (the entrance is right at the Central Pacific Bank building, directly at the street intersection, but overshadowed by a large front roof entrance).... More

We stopped at this restaurant on the way to the airport. We didn't have a reservation, but were quickly seated on the patio. The service and food were good. Although they advertised tapa's these were more like appetizers, than traditional tapas.

I liked it so much, I came here twice. The barmaids, hostesses and waitresses are great; excellent cocktails and excellent service. The food is a screaming deal at Happy Hour 4 to 6 pm. Not to mention the huge $5 Mojitos. If you're on a budget, this place will rock your world! Bistro Casanova is not a hidden gem, it's... More

We kind of stumbled across this restaurant through Open Table. We had lunch there and were very impressed with the food and service. I have to be gluten & dairy free and the waitress was very knowledgeable on my options. The food was delicious and priced reasonably. The service was very friendly. We will be eating here again!
