My boyfriend and I went to the Travassa to visit some friends who were staying there. The hotel is very nice and classy so we expected good food as well. Wrong. I had the bacon salad (not sure what it was called) and asked for extra bacon. I got 2 pieces, iceberg lettuce, several slices of tomato and blue cheese... More

Considering this is only one of a handful of restaurants in Hana, we can't really complain about the food, but it wasn't anything spectacular. The grounds of Travaasa were beautiful and provided a great backdrop for breakfast, but the food and service was nothing special. It was pretty expensive ($65 for 2 people), but again, we really didn't have any... More

We really enjoyed our evening here - the food was yummy and the drinks were too. Our view on the deck was lovely, and they had great live Hawaiian music. It was quite pricey. There are limited places to eat in Hana and if you are looking for a fancier place (eg with clothe napkins and a wine list) this... More

We had a very nice dinner at the Travassa. We really enjoyed the service by Styles. He was on top of our meal the entire evening. We had seafood, both for our starter and mains. For starters we had the Ahi Poke with guacamole and taro chips. It was very good. Highly recommended if it is on the menu. For... More

Like a very unfunny joke... The "service" was so bad that we all left the restaurant deeply depressed, because we felt so bad for the poor waiters, who had clearly had no training whatsoever in their profession. And, I'm sorry, but a restaurant that charges upward of $50 per entree has a responsibility to hire professionals, and if none are... More

We never mind paying for exceptional food, wine and service but the problem here is that the prices are just too high for what you receive. The food was good, the service was very good but I could not say that we received good value. Overall we enjoyed our evening because we knew ahead of time what to expect. I... More

This used to be a great restaurant in a very special spot of the world. Unfortunately it is not up to its usual caliber. The salad was just bland, not what you would expect from this area. The chocolate desert was nothing special and not worth the calories. I hope they bring this outstanding restaurant back to it original glory.

We had breakfast here each day during our stay at the Travaasa Hotel. There were many options for omelets and fresh fruit. I was disappointed that they did not seem prepared for those who are gluten-free. Most people said not to each lunch or dinner there because the prices were too high. Again, it was not the easiest for gluten-free... More

We were looking forward to our stop here after doing the southern road to Hana. Read good things and thought drinks at the lounge and a big dinner would be great to end our day. Sat down in the lounge and had to wait about 15 minutes before we were attended to. Reason for this was that management had only... More
