Lovely, relaxing setting, great service, good food

After the long drive down the Hana Highway, relaxing in this lovely restaurant setting was a real joy. And, the service could not have been more friendly and supportive. She even brought a complimentary pot of fresh ginger chamomile tea for my wife whose stomach was queasy after the twisting... read more

This 4 to 5 Star dining experience is the place for fine dining (also the only place for fine dining except by invite only by Celebrity Locals and their personal chefs). The Restaurant is managed by Famous Hawaii Restauranteur Longhi's (Bob has passed on, but his son and his staff still do an excellent job). Michelle has taken over from... More

The only place for this kind of luxury. You'll pay for it - but it's worth it for one night. Enjoy! Be sure to check out the art gallery too!

First the good things --- the food was very good, almost excellent. We started with two different types of ceviche - one with Ahi Tuna and one with Mahi Mahi. The latter was tangy and the former very smooth. For entrees we had a local fish (very good) and a steak that was produced from the area. It also was... More

One star for the bread. Forget the price...at any price the food was bland and I did not enjoy my meal at all. The complimentary bread and decent cocktail was ok and the atmosphere was nice. Not worth 1/10 the $100/person we paid Risotto was more like rice. We added our own salt n pepper. Tenderloin, sauce had no flavor... More

The service here was very friendly -- better than we have encountered in the past. We had the orzo and tofu entrees, and they were both good. Mixed salad, I swear, was just picked from a local garden -- so fresh. Our wait person was outstanding. The atmosphere is terrific -- not on the water, but quite enchanting. We would... More

The Travaasa Resort and Spa, formally known as the Hana Hotel, sits in the middle of this small community. Parking is across the street. In the resort is a Ka'uiki Dining Room. We had lunch in the adjacent sun. A very pleasant experience. The food (maui maui burger with fries well done) was good and the service from Jennifer was... More

We are annual visitors to Travaasa Hana (formerly Hotel Hana Maui), and it feels like home. The restaurant offerings are a bit formal for every night, but it is fun for one evening. We wouldn't mind some simpler offerings. Try to get seated on the lanai. Simply lovely.

Have you ever had whole grain pancakes smothered in roasted macadamia nuts, fresh local bananas, and fresh coconut syrup? How about snapper caught 4hours before dinner, expertly prepared and presented and paired with wine from an extensive and creative list? If not, then you haven't eaten here yet. Expensive, but worth it.

the restaurant at the Travaasa resort is the only game in town. it is very upscale for the Hana area, which generally has a hippy atmosphere. the food is average but the service was very good and the prices are terribly overpriced.
