The Clay Oven pizza place is open Friday and Saturday nights and is well worth a visit. The pizza is delicious (although I hear that they have, in the recent past, gone through a period of charring the crust a bit too much) and the salads are so good they can outshine the pizza. The staff seems dedicated to using... More

Hard to find places to eat in Hana when the sun goes down. Had the pork e pine pizza. Spicy with cilantro; not a huge pizza but unusual taste & tasty. Off the side of the road about 4 miles before Hana. Nice place to visit.

As stated in other reviews, getting an evening meal in Hana can be challenging. We pulled in here, not expecting much. Wow were we wrong. The Pizza was fantastic. Wish we were going to be in Hana another night to try their Fresh Salad. It really looked good. The handmade Lemonades were really good. And the folks working here were... More

Our mistake was going here for a pizza on the First Friday evening of the month! On the first Friday they have arts and crafts vendors set up, plus live music. One of the few things to do around Hana in the evening. We got there prior to the big crowd and ordered a pizza and was told it would... More

We are not sure why Clay Oven has gotten good reviews. Our experience was very different. Here are some reasons we would never return: There is no runnng water. There is no restroom--we were told to drive 3 miles to the county park or "go natural" and go out in the banana fields. This obviosly brought up considerable sanitation concerns.... More

If you don't mind waiting for over an hour and a half for your one pizza and bringing your own drinks then this is your place.

Had our VD dinner last week. Took a long time but we got a large salad that held us over. One of the best places to eat in/near Hana.

Based on other reviews, my wife and I stopped here on a Friday night (they are only open Fri and Sat 4-8p). We ordered a half and half pizza with our own toppings. The crust is hand tossed and the toppings are all very fresh with all the veggies coming right from their own garden. Our order was up in... More

The pizza and everything here is great. The only thing is that need to wait a long time for the pizza. This worked out fine for us because we sat at a picnic table and met other people. It was fun. If you go early, you won't need to wait as long.

Friendly staff. Delicious food. BYOB, or you can buy beverages from the neighboring drink/food stand. Outdoor seating only, so beware of the weather. I would recommend people wear insect repellent as there were a lot of bugs at dusk. Only open for dinner 2 nights a week.
