My husband and I ate here on a Saturday night. We both ordered the Mahi Mahi salad, which was delicious. Generous portions, fish well seasoned, lots of interesting greens, seaweed, radish, pineapple. So good! We brought some beers and ate outside at a picnic table. The wait was better than expected. Great food!

If you haven't adjusted to Maui time before you find Clay Oven Pizza, this place might do it for you. A bit off the eaten path (a couple miles out of Hana), it's tucked into the trees and looks like it just grew there. The pizza is very good, with a nice thin crisp crust that picks up a great... As a local told us, "The pizza is great, but bring a sixer 'cause this is where time goes to die." He wasn't kidding. We waited just under an hour, which isn't atypical in a busy pizza place, but there weren't that many customers there and it was clear they are just kinda running their own circus on their own... Just a short ride from our vacation spot at the 31 mile marker is The Clay Oven. Delicious unique flavored Pizza and salad from local natural ingredients. A non smoking section for families and non smokers. A smoking section for smokers of all natural ingredients. It's in the jungle with mismatched Christmas lights randomly strung around. Thoroughly enjoyable. BRING BUG... More

The Clay Oven pizza place is open Friday and Saturday nights and is well worth a visit. The pizza is delicious (although I hear that they have, in the recent past, gone through a period of charring the crust a bit too much) and the salads are so good they can outshine the pizza. The staff seems dedicated to using... More

Hard to find places to eat in Hana when the sun goes down. Had the pork e pine pizza. Spicy with cilantro; not a huge pizza but unusual taste & tasty. Off the side of the road about 4 miles before Hana. Nice place to visit.

As stated in other reviews, getting an evening meal in Hana can be challenging. We pulled in here, not expecting much. Wow were we wrong. The Pizza was fantastic. Wish we were going to be in Hana another night to try their Fresh Salad. It really looked good. The handmade Lemonades were really good. And the folks working here were... More

Our mistake was going here for a pizza on the First Friday evening of the month! On the first Friday they have arts and crafts vendors set up, plus live music. One of the few things to do around Hana in the evening. We got there prior to the big crowd and ordered a pizza and was told it would... More
