This is a cool little spot in the rain forest on the road to Hana. The kitchen is an old bus and the dining area is a canopy, but don't let fool this was yummy! He was super busy and the on,y one working but was typical friendly Hawaii the whole time. Lost track of our order and when I... More

Wife ordered the small order of Blue Marlin Fish and Chips. The food was cooked right after we ordered it, extremely fresh! The fish was absolutely perfectly cooked, batter was well cooked as well. The order came with some good fries. The tater sauce was fantastic as well. We waited about 10-15 minutes for our food but it was worth... More

We were near the Hana Airport on a Thursday when lunch time came and we drove back to Nihiku Market Place around mile marker 29. We decided on Island Chef. It was very busy and there was only the one lady working at the time we ordered. She essentially was making one dish at a time in her wok so... More

We had what the travel guides had recommended at this casual roadside stall -- Kalua pig tacos, with slow-cooked pork that's shredded -- and they were amazingly good, and unbeatable value at just $7. I normally have fish tacos but decided to go with the advice, and glad I did!

Stopped in here while driving around the island. There were 6 of us and the food was served quickly. It was all good food. And then we were quickly back on the road. A nice stop.

This food truck sits in a cluster of other tiny shops that were mostly closed when we visited a week ago. Knowing that we wouldn't find much in Hana, we stopped for lunch. We had an order of coconut shrimp and the fish and chips from the catch of the day (it was Ono). As another writer has said, there... More

The food was great. Special made to order. We noticed other people eating and realized one plate of food would easily feed two people so we only ordered one plate. It was plenty! Very good!!! And the price was reasonable! Also,we were afraid it may be the only place to get food for a long time, so we took advantage... More

First of all, message to Sue--Eric says hi!!!!!!!!!!! This is about as simple, wholesome and delicious as food gets. Eric runs a stationary food truck a few miles outside of Hana on the road to Hana (it will be on your left hand side driving towards Hana and is hard to miss). He's a terrific guy, very honest and pleasant... More

We were here two years ago and had a great meal - so we wanted to come back and try it again with some friends. We had the coconut shrimp - lots of batter but great tasting and shrimp are big and the fish and chips - which everybody raved about. They were really great about talking to us, asking... More
